Hindu Extremists Order Christian Missionaries to Leave Nepal

Extremist Hindu groups have warned foreign Christian missionaries to leave Nepal. Even though there is a new Constitution that bans people from converting others to their faith, the extremists are blaming Christians for “corrupting the country.”

Morcha Nepal, a Hindu radical group, was handing out leaflets throughout Nepal, warning Christian missionaries to leave according to a report from the International Christian Concern. A report in Fides News Agency stated that the leaflets read: “Foreign influence have manipulated government decisions” and “Christians have corrupted the country.”

A statement from the extremist group says: “From today, the Morcha declares Nepal a Christian-free Hindu nation. We warn all the Christian religious leaders to leave Nepal, and appeal to all those who converted to Christianity to return home [convert back to Hinduism].”

Despite the warnings, the Fides News Agency has reported that several Christian missionaries will stay. In Nepal, 1.4% of people are Christians and 81.3% identify as Hindu.

The warnings come after Morcha Nepal was responsible for attacks on two churches in the Jhapa region of Nepal. The bombings happened after Nepal’s Constituent Assembly received and turned down many calls to revert the country back into an official Hindu state.

U.S. Warns North Korea on Nuclear Threat

United States officials have issued a stern warning to North Korea because of their threats to the U.S. and the world over their nuclear capabilities.

The day after North Korea said they have turned up their nuclear reactor at Yongbyon to full production, U.S. officials said the North Korean government should focus on “fulfilling its international obligations.”

“We will work with our partners in the context of the six-party talks to try to return North Korea to a posture of fulfilling those commitments that they have made,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said.

“We will repeat our call that North Korea should refrain from the irresponsible provocations that aggravate regional tension and should focus instead on fulfilling its international obligations and commitments.”

Earnest added that the world will not allow North Korea to become a nuclear state.

Analysts say that it’s likely Kim Jong-Un is looking at the way Iran was able to parlay their nuclear program into a financial windfall and removal of sanctions and is trying to position his nation to gain a similar bonus.

Iranian Supreme Leader Says Israel Will Not Survive 25 Years

Iran’s supreme leader posted online that Israel will not survive 25 more years.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted a series of messages on the social media network Twitter on Wednesday attacking the United States and Israel.  A series of posts indicated they will not let up on terrorizing Israel.

“After negotiations, in Zionist regime they said they had no more concern about Iran for next 25 years; I’d say: Firstly, you will not see next 25 years; God willing, there will be nothing as Zionist regime by next 25 years. Secondly, until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists,” Khamenei posted.

The posting was taken from a transcript of a speech that he had delivered earlier Wednesday.

Analysts say the speech was aimed at quelling dissent among the country’s hardliners.  The speech also included statements that Americans would not be allowed on Iranian soil to conduct inspections as part of the nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration and five other nations.

Alabama Megachurch Evacuated After Threats of Violence

An Alabama megachurch that holds “Secret Church” events involving extended prayer, worship and hard-core Christian teaching had to be evacuated Friday after receiving threats of violent acts against the gathering.

The service, which was to be lead by International Mission Board president and pastor David Platt, was held in the night at an undisclosed location as police investigated.

“Due to security concerns, the elders and leadership at the church have decided to close the church for the simulcast. The simulcast will take place, but not at Brook Hills. If you are a ticket holder, information has been sent to you via email,” said the website of the Radical ministry, which is headed by former Brook Hills pastor Platt.

The staff of the church along with the pre-school’s teachers and students were evacuated from the building.

“We want to ensure the safety of our staff and members, and all those who are going to participate,” Chris Kinsley, the Church’s communications director, told Yellowhammer. “We live in a world where our fellow Christians around the world face threats on a daily basis. We’re lucky enough to live in a country where that is unusual, but when it does happen we want to take it seriously but also not allow it to cause us to shrink back from the message we have to share.”

The Secret Church events can last upwards of six hours or more and focus on Jesus Christ.  The teachings for this session sent via simulcast around the world focused on slavery and sexuality based on Leviticus 25:35-43 and 1 Corinthians 6:18-20.

“Secret Church is a time where we join together to study God’s Word and to identify with our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted in countless places around the world,” according to the ministry’s website.

“When we think of ‘church’ in America, we think of going to meet at a building, singing, praying and hearing a message from a Pastor or teacher. But in many places around the world, ‘church’ meets in a home, an apartment, even in secret. These small groups of Christ-followers often meet for many hours in study, prayer and fellowship, as it is dangerous to travel to ‘church’ and they want to make the most of their time together.”
