Recently we had a panel discussion at Morningside Church consisting of four pastors on the subject of “What is a healthy Church?”
My heartfelt message was about “Sound Doctrine.” 1st and 2nd Timothy, and Galatians, Chapters 1 & 2 really lay out in scripture the importance of sound doctrine:
“Sound Doctrine” is a body of principles based on absolute truth from the Word of God. Continue reading →
“Come up a little higher,” I heard the whisper. Before I could consider, yea or nay, I was being whisked away. Like Paul, I didn’t know if I was present in the body or had been given a vision. It was a time in my life that I was assuming the position as Praise and Worship Leader in my church and the Lord so graciously let me experience a little of Heaven’s worship.
“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago — whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows — such a man was caught up to the third heaven.”
2 Corinthians 12:2-4 KJV

This is a special time of the year when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Meaningful sermons and musical presentations were widespread in many churches. Weeks and weeks of rehearsal were dedicated to these special events. I pray that many were touched by the truth of Christ’s resurrection.
Ask yourself, “What does the resurrection of Jesus Christ mean to me? How does Christ’s resurrection affect my life today in this crazy world?” Continue reading →
The Word of God is very clear in telling us that men’s hearts shall be failing them for fear in the last days. In Luke 21:26, we read:
“Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” KJV
We have seen many earthquakes and tornadoes, and floods on the increase these last few years. Then, we have also had the increase of terrorism and crime as well. Many have been paralyzed by fear and are living in despair. Continue reading →
I heard the tires scream and immediately halt, the car door slam, followed by sloppy fumbling at the front door knob. My heart rushed and my mind went wild. Instantly, I remembered a time past, when I landed in the hospital with dozens of stitches from another drunken, drug-induced rampage. For years I had coped with fear because of being repeatedly abused by this angry man who is now my ex-husband.
What will happen next? I had no choice but to cry out with every bit of strength I could muster up, “Lord Jesus, help me!” My mind raced and stopped at a page in Exodus: Continue reading →
Before Christmas last year while I was taking a walk down Grace Street, I was contemplating: “What can I give my children and grandchildren this year for Christmas?” My friend Lynn came up behind me and said, “I am giving a gift this year to my family which is the best and most perfect gift, the Word of God! I’m giving each one a Bible!”
“That’s perfect,” I said. Holy Spirit said, “That’s it! Do it! I will show you which Bible needs to go to each one. I want you to dedicate them from you and Gary and the date will read ‘Christmas Day December 25, 2015’. Then I will give you a word from me to write in each Bible — a word of encouragement, restoration, and love.” And I answered “Okay Lord, I’ll do it.” Continue reading →
Hello. I work in the Prayer Room at Morningside, home of the Jim Bakker TV Show. We are located near Blue Eye, Missouri. We handle many prayer requests that come in by phone, email, letters and walk-ins. There are a lot of hurting people out there!
Also, there are many different types of hurts – more than can be mentioned. However, the most common needs are for healing, finances, family relationships including salvation for family members, spouse betrayal in various ways including by social media, texting, etc. We receive many requests for employment needs, issues with co-workers, family members in prison, demonic spirits, etc. Continue reading →
Many times in life we face uncertainties, fears and concerns. Some are justified, some are not. Even in our lifetime now, we see a generation fulfilling 1 Timothy 4: 1-3 and 2 Timothy 3: 1-7. Continue reading →
Recently while preparing for Intercessory Prayer the Lord gave me these thoughts and I felt led to share them with you.
“Unity, for there is where we come together. I in Him and Him in me. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the true Hope. We need to trust God, and walk by faith coupled with Hope. Love your neighbors as you love yourself. Do good to those who despitefully use you. Forgive your brothers and sisters. Make things right! We don’t want to be in unforgiveness when the rewards are on their way, coming to us. Continue reading →
In Part 1 of “Let’s Talk” I shared with you two words, “GOD FIRST” and “INCREASE.” Let’s continue with the understanding of where we are in this new season. As we discuss these things, always remember that God is greater and “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
Here are some things to look forward to in 2016: Continue reading →
