Pastor Jim & Lori Bakker discuss the Tribulation for Day 3 on The Jim Bakker Show.

Quotes

False doctrine is coming from religion. -Pastor Jim Bakker

Narrative

Pastor Jim continued his warnings in Part 3 of his message on the tribulation and time of trouble and sorrow the world has now entered. Great emphasis was placed on the need for food and clean water reserves and how they will assist many in surviving the days and years ahead.

Pastor Jim highlighted news reports from Europe that gave an overview of the extent of conditions there with mass public rebellions taking place to protest the loss of entitlements, or the things residents have come to expect freely from government. The same types of rallies have swept through countries of the Middle East, as well.

Here in America, Pastor Jim noted one example of entitlement loss relates to the United States Postal Service which is in financial trouble since people no longer use snail mail as much as they used to. In asking his young co-hosts when they last mailed a letter, their answers were given in years. “We love the post office . . . but we can’t keep funding everything because of tradition,” Pastor Jim said, adding that he can reach 20,000 people with ease just by sending out an email from his computer.

Great minds, he continued, can come together to suggest ways to reduce entitlements, such as Saturday delivery, to help the postal service survive the crisis.

As the time of trouble at home continues to worsen, he suggested the government, rather than exerting efforts to control what preachers or others say on TV, would benefit more by working with churches that are focused on preparing families to survive coming disasters and emergencies. He assured Christians that the Bible clearly indicates they will not be raptured out of the world prior to the start of the tribulation, therefore, they would do well to take precautionary steps.

Those who teach another gospel that is not found in the Bible, he said, fall in the category of those the New Testament labels as “preachers of false doctrine” who come teaching that Jesus is, in fact, the Christ but have pieced together scriptures to make the Bible appear to condone their own misinterpretations or misunderstandings.

These false teachers, Pastor Jim declared, in some cases are very sincere but are unaware that they are deceived and are deceiving others. The only safety for believers is to study and know the word of God for themselves. That word, he said, shows that we are “living in the beginning of the time of sorrow” even though many find the book of Revelation to be a joke. Pastor Jim said he and other well known pastors have, on separate occasions, called together their executive staff members to warn them that a major and severe time of trouble is just ahead and that “we better prepare” for it.
