Narrative

Pastor Jim Bakker opens the broadcast with a puppet presentation. His voice for Gaggles is quite funny and Lori shares appreciation for reviving his old talent. The Masters Media students want to create a retro kids show. Something like Mr. Green Jeans or Captain Kangaroo. Pastor Jim relives moments in the puppet ministry from times gone by.

People are concerned about not having money for the holiday season. Pastor Jim’s dad did not leave him any money when he passed, but he left his legacy. Pastor Jim’s father told him how to work and he never stopped. He learned that he could fix anything just by watching his father. If one does not have anything to give, they should give the gift of kindness. We all inherit physical inheritances from our family, but we should focus not on the physical but the spiritual aspects. Pastor Jim’s grandmother sewed rich people’s clothes for a living, but she gave him much more than the little money she had. Pastor Jim’s grandmother taught him how to love Jesus. You may not have money to give, but you can always give a hug.

Suicide is the second most common cause of death in Idaho.

The cost of food is increasing and debt is sky rocketing.  In the country of Greece, they’ve issued a cookbook about how to survive during starvation. The cookbook gives recipes and tips to survive like those who did in WWII. Some of the tips include using eggplant instead of meats and brushing the crumbs from the table and putting them in a jar.

Pastor Jim and Lori share their heartfelt concern for the lack of food in America. Some letters they received were shared on the air that shows people are already using the emergency food supplies for job loss. While some say that storing food is unnecessary, it is proven to save many lives already. Americans need to have an awakening and realize that there is a time of great famine coming and having a twenty year supply of food may be essential.
