Important Takeaways:
- Pat Boone, the accomplished pop singer and devout Christian who first gained fame in the 1950s, released a song on Friday called “Where Did America Go?” that aims to be a wake-up call for all Americans to return to the country’s spiritual and constitutional roots.
- “That old Constitution / Still holds the solution,” Boone sings. “But we gave up our freedoms for sale.”
- Boone said in a Facebook announcement, “I don’t see how America can keep going in this way. I’m deeply concerned. We’ve got elections coming up, maybe they’ll make a difference. But I couldn’t wait, I just felt I had to do something like my friend Bob Dylan did when we were in similar states of confusion.” Boone said the song’s style was patterned after Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind,” but lyrically it points to the answer: God.
- The lyrics of the song call on listeners to reflect on the current state of division in the U.S. “We’re not one nation under God anymore,” Boone said in a press release. “This song is a warning, an alarm that America is in danger of losing its way.”

Important Takeaways:
- Pat Boone says ‘moral values’ are missing from today’s Hollywood’s films: ‘America’s image is being destroyed’
- Boone said “moral values” are missing from today’s film industry.
- “The film industry was a great export for America for so many years,” he explained. “We were showing America in its best light. Even though crime was dealt with – because bad things do happen in life – but almost all American movies ended with good triumphing and good people doing righteous things. Criminals were always apprehended and punished.
- “But now, the whole thing is upside down. Some of the biggest films now show people getting away with the worst things. Lawbreakers are even celebrated. The criminals are becoming bigger. Heroes are doing worse things than criminals and being rewarded for it.”
- “The movies being made now are immoral,” he shared. “They’ve lost their meaning.”

Pat and Shirley truly lived a love story. For 65 years they shared the great love they have had for each other and for family and friends. They were most especially passionate about sharing their faith and trust in Jesus.
“We lived a wonderful, blessed life together for 65 years. I’ve parted with my better half for a little while…but we don’t die, we just move on to another place, and today was moving day.” Pat said of his high school sweetheart in an interview with People magazine. “She’s changed her address is all and moved to a different mansion that I expect to join her in one day.”

He’s a man that in the decade of the 1950’s was only topped on the charts by a little-known artist named Elvis Presley.
Billboard magazine named him the 9th biggest recording artist between 1955 and 1995…bigger than legendary artists like The Beach Boys and Aretha Franklin.
He still holds the Billboard magazine record after holding 220 consecutive weeks with at least one song on the chart.
And through it all he gave credit for his success to the One who gave him the talent to perform: God! Continue reading →
