For some time now I have been extensively researching about how our daily lives would be affected if the power grids fail or if we experienced an EMP bomb. Most of us growing up in modern America cannot even conceive what this would be like.
It is very startling to realize that we could suddenly be thrust back into the living conditions of several centuries ago. Our current power grids are outdated and yet the demand for their usage continues to increase. Experts who have thoroughly studied the capacity and condition of the grids predict that a breakdown could very well happen in the near future if not corrected. Continue reading →
I am so excited about our upcoming Ready Now Expo on March 10th – 14th! We have some of the most knowledgeable speakers and presenters on the planet joining us with information about ultimate survival strategies and products that we have found through extensive research.
There’s a song with a line that says, “I don’t care how you get here, just get here if you can!” That’s the way I feel about this Expo! Do everything you can to get here because this is one you don’t want to miss.
It’s been weighing heavy on my heart recently about why people should be prepared for anything! It’s more than just about not going hungry, which pulls on the heartstrings. None of us want our families to go hungry! Most of us would do just about anything to keep our loved ones alive – to keep them from starving to death in a famine. Wouldn’t we? Continue reading →
I personally believe every church in America needs to prepare. In times of crisis or disaster, people turn to leaders for help. Even those who don’t belong to your church or congregation will come to you – and that’s a good thing! We want to share the Gospel in the Last Days! That’s what we were born for! That’s the reason God chose us to be living at this time in the history of the world! We were born for “such a time as this.”
While some may think that they’re obligation is more spiritual than practical in times of crisis, I assure you that until people’s physical needs are met, they’re not going to listen to your Gospel! There’s a verse in the Bible that talks about those who do nothing but pray and bless. This verse is usually quoted in the context of faith, but I want you to read it again in the context of practical preparations for others in need:
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (James 2:14-17 ESV) Continue reading →
Jim and I do what we do because we believe with all our hearts that there are Times of Trouble coming – we will be here on this earth for at least part of that trouble – and if we are not prepared, some will succumb to those troubles and do whatever they have to do to survive… including taking the Antichrist’s mark.
There are going to be many methods by which the Antichrist will force his mark upon people. There is no Christian that I know who wants this mark, but will you take it if it means your family will have food? Will those you love be forced to take it to feed or shelter their families and care for their medical needs?
None of us want our families to go hungry. Most of us would do just about anything to keep our loved ones alive – to keep them from starving to death in a famine. Wouldn’t we? Continue reading →
CNN is reporting that more Americans are spending money to get ready for an uncertain future including stocking up on food, water, tools and skills that would help them survive a massive natural or man-made disaster.
The report also said the people getting involved in the activity are not what most people consider “lone wolves” but rather average American families who have genuine concerns about where the world is headed.
Charlie Hogwood of Personal Readiness Education Programs said that he sees a lot of people concerned about the collapse of the dollar. He also said that a lot of people think the more you have the easier it will be to survive but in reality those who prepare themselves and learn how to live will need less supplies because of their ability to grow food and filter water.
A provider of non-GMO seeds to prepper conventions says most of the attendees are people between 40 and 75 and over 80 percent of them have college degrees. He also said that most true preppers are not gun fanatics and do not buy into the conspiracy theories that most traditional media outlets use to denigrate those who are preparing for the future.

I’m here in the East anticipatiing Irene. And it’s just as Pastor Jim and Lori have been warning about.
Merchandise flying off the shelves- no size D batteries in Home Depot since yeasterday. No more bottled water. Sold out of gererators, and what’s coming in may be double in price. Gas running out.
Story on news channel of potential food shortages of deliveries can’t be made. People discussing what they would do without water. I hear mention of tarps, battery operated radios, how to get power to their laptop….
I am just so grateful for the work you are so willing to do for all of us who are listening, and for the Lord, of course. I only wish you had the time to post on your blog EVERY day!
Even if Irene does not cause the damage projected, it is a good chance to see what still needs to be done before another one!
Praying for you, and with many thanks, Anne
