U.N. Inspectors Fired Upon By Snipers But Reach Investigation Site

The United Nations is sending strongly worded complaints to the Syrian government after the body’s chemical weapon inspection team was fired upon by snipers as they tried to reach the site of last Wednesday’s chemical weapons attack.

The team was forced to retreat when one of their cars was struck by sniper fire in the tires and windshield. They were entering an area considered a “buffer zone” between rebels and government troops at the time of the attack according to the BBC. Continue reading

American al-Qaeda Terrorists Calls For Attacks On U.S. Diplomats

An American who converted to Islam and joined the terrorist group al-Qaeda is calling for rich Muslims to put bounties on American diplomats.

Adam Gadahn, born in California, is considered a major terrorist with al-Qaeda who has a one million dollar bounty on his head from U.S. authorities. Gadahn called on wealthy Muslims to offer rewards to kill ambassadors throughout the middle east as the Yemeni based branch of al-Qaeda has done. Continue reading

Doctors Without Borders To Leave Somalia

After 22 years of attempting to help the civilians in war-torn Somalia, the humanitarian group Doctors without Borders is pulling out all of their staff and closing all programs in the country.

The group says they are leaving because of “extreme attacks on its staff”. It said terrorists and even some civilian leaders “support, tolerate or condone the killing, assaulting, and abducting of humanitarian aid workers.” Continue reading

Rebels Claim Attack On Syrian President’s Motorcade

Syrian rebel forces claim a rocket and mortar attack on the motorcade of President Bashar al-Assad as he traveled to pray to mark the start of a major Muslim holiday.

Two Syrian rebel brigades say they struck Assad’s motorcade in the upscale Malki district of the capital. The government denied that any attack was made on or near the President’s motorcade. Continue reading
