Band of Brothers Prepping

On one of our recent shows, Pastor Scott Hunt came to share his wisdom about being ready for anything in his book, “The Practical Prepper’s Complete Guide to Disaster Preparedness.” There were many things he talked about that really hit home, but the two I want to talk about is: 1) the importance of community; 2) water.

Scott talked of the “Band of Brothers” and the concept of networking and prepping as a community so that everyone brings something to the table.  He emphasized that this is the key to survival in Times of Trouble.  I totally agree with Pastor Scott and have said so many times over many years.  It’s important who you have around you in these Last Days when we can almost count on going through at least some kind of difficulties as the prophecies of Matthew 24 come to pass. Good friends and family (including Church family) should come together and support each other with prayer and practical things. Continue reading

Essentials for Perilous Times

The world is getting to be a very scary place and threats of pestilences of Biblical proportions are not just threats – they’re realities right now. We sincerely believe that God has given us revelatory knowledge about how to survive in the face of these threats in days the Bible describes as “perilous times.”  We have Spirit-filled medical doctors that also believe we have been given wisdom and revelation in the things that can help in these End Times …because it is the End Times!  Their wisdom comes with a great deal of professional knowledge and expertise, and we trust what they say.

It’s our desire to get this revelatory knowledge into your hands so that you too can have the best fighting chance against attacks on your physical being.  Staying strong and healthy is not just for us, but for everyone!  Continue reading

Why I Like Duck Dynasty

The phenomenon of the success of Duck Dynasty has taken this country by storm. I am a huge fan of the show and I’ll tell you why. These people are Godly people with a sense of humor! They live their lives according to the principles of God’s Word and yet they are so down to earth and real! That’s my kind of people.

The Duck Dynasty folks appeal to young and old alike. Young people like this show because, let’s face it, they can smell a phony a mile away and they run the other way. Look at how they’ve all run out of our churches…. just sayin’. Continue reading

Glory Afterglow

Jim and I and our entire family are still basking in the glow of the ministry that took place here at Morningside this past week during the Fourth of July Celebration. We know that all who were here and all who will see these broadcasts will feel the same way.

When something of this magnitude takes place in the Spirit, you can be certain that it will change you! That’s the wonder of God’s Holy Spirit – the transforming, empowering, emblazoned mark on the hearts of those who receive it! Continue reading

Hungry for God

I don’t even know how to explain this except to say that I’m so hungry for God it hurts! Have you ever experienced that kind of hunger? Deep down inside, you know that nothing can satisfy you except the REAL THING! You’re not satisfied with pretending, or a glorified imitation, or even the hype of emotionalism. You want the REAL THING! Continue reading

A Good Heart

When Jim and I married, we had both lived a long time on this earth and a lot of history had been written in our lives before we came together as husband and wife.  So, there was much to learn about each other!

As with most people when they fall in love and begin to realize they are moving toward a life-long commitment, we would sometimes talk into the night – hour upon hour – just trying to ‘get to know’ one another.  The truth is, we are still learning! Continue reading

Revival, Repentance, Salvation

Our country desperately needs revival. Even the Church needs to be revived again because large parts have become salt-less and lost its ‘flavor’ as the Bible says in Matthew 5:13:

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

Every aspect of our society seems bent on the destruction of all that the Bible stands for – and all that God commands. We have a great opportunity in this age to be the salt of the earth by being bold and speaking the truth in love. That’s what we are trying to do daily on our show. Continue reading

I’m So Defensive

I thought I would get your attention with that title, but it’s a true statement! I am very defensive! That is… I am a defender of Jim particularly (and other family members, especially my kids); I am a defender of women; I am a defender of God!

I can completely relate to Sarah Palin when she said she was a “momma grizzly bear.” I think the instinct to defend our children is in most of us as Mothers. If it’s not, there’s something broken inside!

Defending those we love is an honorable character trait, don’t you think? Jesus is our defender and He is passionate about it! Continue reading

Friends Matter!

Whether it’s just a casual “how are you?” or a heartfelt, “sit down and tell me what’s going on in your life,” or a caring comment on Facebook… friends can bring you great joy and comfort.

Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves you all the time, and a brother helps in time of trouble.” That goes for sisters, too!

There are many people who know Jim and me because we are public figures, and more and more of them are becoming closer to us as we experience the signs of Revelation. I have had people write in and tell us that we are their “family” and I have to tell you, that really touches my heart and we feel the same way. Continue reading

Praying for Oklahoma

We have just experienced an awful couple of days here in Missouri and most of the “heartland” of the nation with storms and deadly tornados. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families who have lost loved ones.

Sometimes when things like this happen, we will try to make sense of it all. But, as Christians, we must submit our quest to understand the ‘whys,’ to our FAITH which always comforts and consoles us, whether we understand or not.

Faith is rooted in the deepest and simplest belief that our God is good, and His love endures forever. This truth is found throughout the Bible but mostly in the Psalms, which most scholars believe were predominantly written by King David – whom God says was “a man after my own heart.” Continue reading
