Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram has killed 11 people and kidnapped at least 20 women as they continue to expand what they call their “caliphate.”
The group says that the predominantly Christian town of Lassa is now under their control.
“As it is now, Boko Haram is fully in charge in Lassa town and has declared the town a caliphate,” one of the escapees from Lassa told Morning Star News. He declined to give his name, saying, “It is no longer safe for us to tell you our names, as doing so may pose a serious threat not only to us but also our relations who are still being held captive by Boko Haram members.”
The terrorists have also declared Chibok and Shani as part of their “caliphate.”
Samuel Dali, president of the EYN in Nigeria, who also has been displaced by the Boko Haram attacks, confirmed the attacks on the three Christian towns, saying many of his church members have been displaced.
A homicide bomber walked into an auditorium in Kabul, Afghanistan and set off his device killing a German man and wounding 16 people.
The crowd was watching a play that condemned terrorist homicide bombing attacks called “Heartbeat: Silence After the Explosion.” The head of the Interior Ministry said a 17-year-old boy walked into the play during an early evening performance to commit the attack.
“I heard a deafening explosion … There were Afghans, foreigners, young girls and young boys watching the show,” Sher Ahmad, an Afghan rights activist who was at the performance, told Reuters.
The Taliban said that they attacked the play because it was aimed “to insult Islamic values and spread propaganda about our jihad operations, especially on suicide attacks”.
The attack is the second homicide bombing terrorist attack in Kabul within a week. Six Afghani soldiers were killed when a terrorist hit their bus as they were heading to work.
The attacks are part of a nationwide campaign by the Taliban to strike at military and civilians, as most of the foreign military units would be leaving the country by the end of the month.
An Illinois resident has been charged with plotting terrorism against Israel.
Adam Everett Livix, 30, has been charged with possession of weapons. Israeli police say that he intended to blow up various Jerusalem holy sites. Police said they have evidence that he turned down an officer from Palestinian officials to assassinate President Obama during his 2013 visit.
“He categorically denies the charges in the indictment,” Livix’s attorney Gal Wolf said. “He says it is nonsense.”
Livix reportedly had overstayed his visa in Israel for a year.
The Justice Ministry said Livix later cooperated with his roommate, a serving soldier in the Israeli military, to obtain 3 pounds of explosive material to blow up the unidentified Jerusalem holy sites. The ministry said police discovered the plot in October.
Livix had fled to Israel after facing criminal charges in Indiana.
Israeli officials say they don’t expect to receive retribution from Syria after an airstrike.
An IDF official who requested anonymity told the Times of Israel that he doesn’t believe Syria can afford to open up another war front when they’re so engaged in fighting against Islamic terrorist groups attempting to overthrow the nation.
The officer also said that it’s unlikely terrorist group Hezbollah, who had been trying to obtain weapons and munitions from Syria, would strike out against Israel.
“I don’t see any reason why in 2015 Hezbollah will turn to Israel, there is no logic to that way of thinking,” he said in a briefing with reporters at military headquarters. “But if you are talking about capacity and the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) should be ready to deal with any capability of any one of its enemies. The capability of Hezbollah is growing every year.”
Israel has stayed out of the Syrian Civil War other than to make surgical strikes when they find Syria attempting to send weapons to Hezbollah. There was no confirmation from the IDF that was the reason for the recent strike but the officer did make comment that seemed to indicate it was the reason.
“Anyone who tries to arm our enemies should know that we can go anywhere, anytime, in any way, in order to foil his plans. We will not compromise on this,” he said.
Islamic terrorists have killed a pastor from South Africa who felt a passion to help the Afghani people after the United States removed the Taliban.
Three terrorists with explosives on their chest stormed into the compound where Pastor Werner Geoenewald and his family have been living. The explosion killed Werner and his two children Jean-Pierre and Rode. The fire also destroyed all the family’s belongings leaving the mother Hannelie alone.
The children were 17 and 15. Hannelie survived because she had been working a nearby clinic at the time of the attack.
“Their house was burned down,” Hannelie’s sister Riana Du Plessis said on Sunday from South Africa. “Hannelie went back there this morning to try to recover some of their goods, but there was nothing to recover. She lost everything – her children, her husband, her cats, her dogs.”
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the murders saying they were out to kill Christians.
Congress is preparing to announce that the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting will have been victims of a terrorist attack.
The Obama administration had been denying the incident where Major Nidal Hasan was an act of workplace violence despite the fact Hasan had indicated he was making an act of Islamist terrorism.
House Republicans worked with members of the Democrat-controlled Senate Armed Services committee to put a provision in a defense authorization bill that will acknowledge the victims of Fort Hood are terrorist victims, making them eligible for Purple Hearts and for assistance awards to victims of terrorist actions.
The new language inserted by the members of Congress states that Purple Heart medals can be awarded to “members of the armed forces killed or wounded in domestic attacks inspired by foreign terrorist organizations.”
Hasan killed 13 and wounded 32 in his terror attack. Hasan had e-mail exchanged with Anwar al-Awlaki, a top al-Qaeda leader, who helped plan the attack. Hasan had tried multiple times to become an official member of al-Qaeda.
Still, the Obama administration continues to deny that Hasan’s actions were terrorist in nature.
Islamic terrorist group ISIS beheaded four Iraqi children who would not deny the name of Jesus.
Rev. Canon Andrew White, the “Vicar of Baghdad”, told the story of the four children during an interview for the Orthodox Christian Network. He said that the story is just one of the many examples of the Islamic group’s brutality.
“ISIS turned up and they said to the children, ‘you say the words that you will follow Muhammad.’ The Children, all under 15, four of them, they said, ‘no, we love Yasua [Jesus]. We have always loved Yasua. We have always followed Yasua. Yasua has always been with us.'” White said. “[The Militants] said, ‘say the words!’ [The Children] said, ‘no, we can’t do that.’ They chopped all their heads off.”
White said that many parents are being forced to say they’re converting to Islam to protect the lives of their children. ISIS routinely makes children kneel before their parents with weapons to their heads saying they will murder the children if the adults don’t convert to Islam.
White finally had to leave Iraq because of death threats from ISIS.
“They have threatened to kill me. They are after me. They wanted that Abuna [Father] from England,” White said. “So the Archbishop of Canterbury said ‘you’ve got to leave now.'”
Officials in Borno State are reporting a massacre over the weekend in the Christian town of Shani carried out by Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram.
The communications with the town were cut off during the attack and officials say they are just now learning the scope of the attack.
A resident of the town told the Nigerian Daily Post that Boko Haram descended on the town around 8 p.m. local time on Saturday.
“They came on about 10 motorcycles from Gwaskara axis, well armed with Ak47 rifles, improvised explosive devices and petrol bombs, wrecking havoc without confrontation as there was no military operatives, nor police to assist the armless civilians who were running for dear lives,” the witness said.
The witness said at least two dozen people were killed and many businesses looted.
“A boy ran into my shop and said his father and elder brother had been shot. He was only wearing shorts, no top and sweating despite the wintry weather. I shut down my shop immediately, leaving some items outside,” business-owner Shuabu Lawal said.
The White House is refusing to name the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.
The group, which has been labeled terrorists by many governments throughout the Middle East, has been supported in the past by the Obama administration when they were controlling Egypt.
A petition on the White House website called for the administration to join other nations in designating the group terrorists. Over 213,000 signatures were obtained in a month. When a petition reaches 100,000, the administration claims they will respond within 30 days.
“[The] Muslim Brotherhood has a long history of violent killings & terrorizing opponents. Also, MB has direct ties with most terrorist groups like Hamas,” the petition reads. “A book by one of their prominent figures, Sayyid Qutb, called Ma’alim fi-l-Tariq, is the bible for many terrorist groups.”
“The Muslim Brotherhood has shown in the past few days that it is willing to engage in violence and killing of innocent civilians in order to invoke fear in the hearts of its opponents. This is terrorism. We ask the US government to declare MB as a terrorist group for a safer future for all of us.”
The White House dismissed the petition in a short reply.
“We have not seen credible evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood has renounced its decades-long commitment to non-violence,” the White House stated.
A new United Nations report is outlining the ways ISIS has been brutalizing children.
The UN International Children’s Fund says that over 5 million children have had their lives directly impacted by ISIS actions. Thousands of children have been used both as human shields by the terrorists or have been strapped to tables and had their blood drawn for terrorists wounded in attacks.
The report outlines specific instances where the terrorists were using children to create propaganda devices. In one case, the terrorists went to a hospital and pulled two cancer stricken children out of bed to pose in a picture holding an ISIS flag with fighters.
The report outlines statements from former teenage fighters that say ISIS is forcing children to take drugs so they will carry out any order including suicide terror attacks.
In addition to the front line uses, the terrorists are also forcing children to be domestic servants, cooking, cleaning and bringing water to the wounded in makeshift hospitals.
