The Love of Family

Most of you know that family is so very important to me.  I believe we are ‘set in families’ by the Lord according to scripture (Psalm 68:6).  Our families provide a setting for much of the growth we experience in life as we love, help, teach, and learn from each other. We share our joys and our sorrows.  We love, encourage, and affirm one another as we navigate through all of life’s challenges.

Family is the eternal pattern of God. In our families we learn to apply the teachings of Jesus Christ, and to be transformed to be what God wants us to be.

Family is the source of life’s greatest joys along with transforming trials. Family ties may bring us difficult challenges, but they also give us strength and some of our greatest happiness. Continue reading

God is Warning Us Through His Word

Our time is running out to really do some of the things God wants us to do. But, if God’s people will begin to turn back to Him, we can see a real move of God.

In the middle of the night, God woke me up and led me to open my Bible so I turned on my phone for light (for old fogies that don’t know what they’re doing) and the first scripture the Lord said to read – I’m reading it and it is so shocking to me…

It is going to happen so soon… it literally puts the fear of God in me. Rick Joyner said when you see the extremes (hot/cold highs/lows, when meters flip) that means the engine is about to explode!

Rick said, without beating around the bush, we’re going to have martial law unless America really turns back to God. There’s no hope without God! Rick said all the money that we (America) owes would be equal to the worth of everything on this earth including your shoes, your glasses, your house, your cars, everything! He said everything we own is equal to the real debt – not the debt they tell us we have but the real debt that the experts are telling us. Continue reading

Nigerian Man Survives Three Days At Bottom of Ocean

“Oh, God, by your name, save me. … The Lord sustains my life.”

Harrison Odjegba Okene repeated those words as he spent three days trapped under a capsized boat at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. A video of the man’s dramatic rescue went viral this week showing his amazing rescue.

A dive team working out of Lagos, Nigeria had been working to salvage a tugboat that capsized and sank. They had already pulled four bodies from the vessel when a diver noticed another hand on his video monitor. When he went to grab it, the hand grabbed him back.

“He was incredibly lucky. He was in an air pocket, but he would have had a limited time (before) … he wouldn’t be able to breathe anymore,” Tony Walker of Dutch company DCN Diving told the Washington Post.

Okene says his life was saved only by divine intervention. He told reporters that he kept repeating a psalm that his wife had sent him via text message earlier in the day.

“I started calling on the name of God,” Okene said. “I started reminiscing on the verses I read before I slept. I read the Bible from Psalms 54 to 92. My wife had sent me the verses to read that night when she called me before I went to bed.”
