Is Haiti forgotten? Where is the media? They need our help!

A Picture. Hopefully for Haiti, it takes only one in this world of media, where the fight to grab the attention of the public shifts in seconds.  

Only a few weeks ago, as Hurricane Matthew made a direct hit on the poor country of Haiti, the news organizations were covering the devastation every hour and prayers were said around the world.  Now, there is an eerie silence in that same media for the Haitian people.

Over 90% of their homes are destroyed. All of their crops annihilated. Drinking water is slowly becoming poison.  There is no electricity and very little protection from the elements.  So many areas in Haiti are impossible to get to because of the damage.  Food is being airdropped but no one really knows the fate of these people shut off from medical help and the basic needs for life.  

Whether it is politically motivated or perhaps just the hunger for new stories to bring ratings in the media outlets, Haiti is already forgotten and the tragedy for these people  is only beginning.  

We will not forget the people of Haiti.

Thanks to Gary Heavin, founder and former CEO of the fitness chain Curves, producer and actor and a remarkable friend to this ministry, we are able to truly be of assistance. Gary has been on the ground and in the air helping Haiti.  He is one of the few that owns a cargo plane that can get to these remote places and has been tirelessly distributing the food and water filtration as well as solar flashlights and other necessities to these desperate people.  We KNOW that what we are sending is getting to those that really need it!

Gary Heavin, Producer, Writer of Amerigeddon, returning to The Jim Bakker Show

Last month we were delighted to welcome Gary Heavin, founder of “Curves”, producer and actor and known for movies Sironia (2011), Mission Air (2014), and the recently released movie, Amerigeddon, on the Jim Bakker Show.  

We are thrilled to announce that Gary Heavin will be back on Grace Street with hosts Jim and Lori Bakker on Tuesday, May 31st! We are excited to see how his very powerful new movie Amerigeddon has done at the box office!

Amerigeddon seizes on fact-based threats in the world today and asks the ultimate question, “What happens when government turns on the people it’s supposed to protect?”

When speaking about preparing and educating people on what is happening in the world, Heavin had much to say on our program in April.

“A million and a half people have already watched the trailer.  They are going to bring their friends and  families to see the movie. This is an opportunity to be able to share with you what so many of us believe, which is, there is a danger to us.  Share it with your family members who tend to think you’re nuts, but they’ll come watch the movie, they’ll get to see these things that happen in this scenario and why you’re doing the things you are to prepare.  I want to thank you (Jim and Lori) for the preparation message that you are so dedicated to. There’s no telling how many lives you’re going to save with your boldness. Believe me, I’m on the forefront of this message, too. I have a lot of people who think I’m nuts, because I’m actually acknowledging a risk. I tell you what, I love my family, I love my grandkids, I love my neighbors. I love my community, and I’m going to do everything I can to prepare.”

Gary Heavin to Promote “Amerigeddon” on the Jim Bakker Show

Gary Heavin, founder and former CEO of the fitness chain Curves, has more to talk about than our health. Heavin is also a producer, writer and actor known for movies such as Sironia (2011), Mission Air (2014) and a new movie being released May 13, 2016 called Amerigeddon.

On Tuesday, April 19th, Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker will be welcoming Gary Heavin to The Jim Bakker Show to talk about this incredible new movie and Gary’s thoughts on the current events in our world.

Amerigeddon is a collaboration between Director Mike Norris, son of Chuck Norris and executive producer Gary Heavin, and has been described as “the movie the establishment doesn’t want you to see.”

Heavin believes the film’s message of warning is quite timely. “We made a movie that is fun to watch but it is based in reality. In Amerigeddon, survivors of an EMP attack on the United States must live in a state of martial law led by the United Nations. American soldiers must decide whom they serve, second amendment rights are curtailed. Food, water and survival become our primary concerns— unfortunately, these are all likely scenarios resulting from a very real threat.”

The film features some amazing actors: Marshall Teague (The Rock), Annalynn McCord (Dallas, 90210), Dina Meyer, (Starship Troopers) Spencer Neville (Days of Our Lives) Mike Norris (Walker, Texas Ranger) Diane Ladd (Joy) and India Eisley (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) .
