Terrorists Planning Attack On British Army Base Jailed

Four men who plotted to blow up a British Army base by placing a bomb inside a toy car have been jailed after pleading guilty to the plot.

Zahid Iqbal, Mohammed Sharfaraz Ahmed, Umar Arshad and Syed Farhan Hussain all will be spending at least five years behind bars for their roles in the conspiracy. Iqbal and Ahmed were sentenced to 16 years, 11 in jail, after the judge called them a “continuing risk” to the public. Continue reading

Foreign Terrorists Identified In Sunday Terror Bombings In Somalia

Somalia’s Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon has told media outlets that the terrorists who carried out a bomb and gun attack on one of the city’s main courthouses were foreign terrorists.

The al-Qaeda linked Islamic terror group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the assaults that have now resulted in the deaths of 29 people. 58 people have been confirmed wounded by the attack. Continue reading

Nigeria Blast Kills 20

A homicide bombing in Kano, Nigeria has killed at least 20 people and injured dozens.

No terrorist group has yet made a claim of responsibility but the attack is very similar to previous attacks by the al-Qaeda affiliated Islamic extremist group Boko Haram. Kano is the largest city in the northern part of Nigeria. Continue reading
