God’s Grace
Romans 8:31 – “If God is for us who can be against us?”
I am starting out by giving the Greek and Hebrew definitions of “Grace” which is the original language. In Hebrew (Chanan) it means Graciousness, Kindness, Favor & Beauty. In Greek (Charis) it means Graciousness, Kindness, Favor & Beauty. But also the Greek Grace is “divine influence on the heart.” It’s a reflection in life with gratitude. Plus the Greek version adds, “that which affords Joy – Pleasure – Delight – Sweetness – Charm and Loveliness!”
Wow! The Grace of God is the favor that allows the power into our lives, but you have to believe it. As a believer, we have a right to God’s power and authority in Jesus name. We can’t earn authority as we already have it. We are working from authority. Continue reading
God’s Perfect Number
While studying God’s Word to believers the other day, I was thinking about God’s order in everything and His faithfulness in fulfillment of that order.
Lamentations 3:22,23 – “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness.”
It seems God’s perfect number is three. Seven is the number of completion. Eight is the number of new beginnings. Continue reading
I Pledge Allegiance…
Who has your allegiance today? Who or what has your loyalty? Who are you willing to die for?
As we celebrate the 4th of July and all the activities this week, let’s examine our hearts and locate our allegiance. Keep your focus and beliefs firmly grounded in the Word of God.
As Christians, first and foremost, our allegiance is to God and His Word. God is our source of everything and the very reason we get up each morning. Every breath we breathe is a gift from God. Continue reading
God’s Marvelous Grace
What is Grace? People have different ideas of what it is. The first scripture reference about Grace that most of us know is Ephesians 2: 8-9, which reads as follows: “For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” NKJV
Amazing Grace is a hymn that is well known to everyone. We love to sing and express our gratefulness to the Lord for saving us when we were walking in darkness and had no knowledge of Him! When the burden of sin we carried was lifted off of us, our lives were changed forever! Continue reading
Peace! Peace!
“Lord we pray for Divine appointments, open doors of opportunity and Father-ordained encounters to help build your church.”
This is a prayer that has been prayed by my husband, myself, our kids and friends, people who don’t know the Lord, and those who do.
My husband, Gary, and I have been serving the Lord for the past 40 years. We have prayed this prayer innumerable times in many situations. We don’t know how or when the answer will come, but we know God is faithful. He will come through for us, and has! Continue reading
