God’s Not Dead

Sharon Couchman

Have you heard of or seen the movie “God’s Not Dead”?  The media and Hollywood were surprised at how well the movie did.  It was produced on a very low budget, but when it hit the theaters it grossed over $90 million dollars!

People are hungry for good, clean, wholesome movies.  The title “God’s Not Dead” also grabbed the attention of scoffers who say there is no God.  The film created a stir of conversation among non-believers.  Let’s pray that more people who doubt God’s existence will reach out, watch the film out of curiosity, and be drawn to the Lord.

To a true follower of Christ it seems ridiculous that anyone would say that God is dead or doesn’t even exist.  Scripture describes those who say there is no God.  It goes like this: Continue reading

Lord, Send Me!

This new year, 2015, I was reminded again after reading from Oswald Chamber’s book, “My Utmost for His Highest” of my true love for Jesus.  I had to ask myself some questions.

Jeremiah 2:2 NKJV – “Thus says the Lord; I remember…the kindness of your youth…”  Continue reading

The Privilege and Importance of Prayer

Clete Snellenberger

Luke 18:1 says: “Men ought always to pray and not to faint.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-21 gives seven strong admonitions with verse 17 saying: “Pray without ceasing”, which means to always be in the attitude of prayer.

In a believer’s life: Prayer must be done! He commands it! People need it and must do it! Continue reading

What Is Honor?

When I was a student in Bill Johnson’s church in Redding, California, one thing amazed me even more than the many miracles I saw taking place there.  It was the unrestrained, lavish and joyful outpouring of Honor which was a daily occurrence at Bethel.  Of course, we students stood and clapped and cheered loudly for at least five minutes whenever Bill or Associate Pastors Chris or Danny came to the podium to teach us.  But we also did it for anyone who stepped on the stage:  an administrator, an accountant or even a fellow student.
