A family that escaped from ISIS in Mosul is relating stories of the terrorist group’s brutality toward children.
The family showed a video to a reporter with the news organization Rudaw a video of a pre-teen child being executed because the child was starving and stole food. Mosul has been suffering a food storage since the terrorist group took control of the village.
The boy who recorded the video, identified only as Ibrahim, says that the father of the child was begging loudly before the shooting of his child for the group to spare the child’s life.
In addition to the execution, the group has cut off the hands of children accused of stealing.
“Yesterday they cut off the hands of four kids, ages 12, 11, 13 and 16,” the family’s daughter, SA, told the reporter. “One of the kids stole a toy bird, another stole an electric cable.”
The family also said that the terrorists routinely go into the schools and abduct girls to force them into marriages. Girls as young as 8 have been taken by the terrorists.
Seeking the Lord for a word for the new year is always a very serious pursuit and this year is even more crucial as we see the “red lights of prophecy” flashing all around us and God’s plan unfolding at breakneck speed. The Lord began to speak to me while we were in Israel, and the word that I give to you I sincerely pray will resonate with your spirit and cause you to be more prepared for these times we see looming on the horizon. Remember that in the midst of all the turmoil there is a promise of His Return and that is cause for great rejoicing! Continue reading →
I’ve written before about how God inspires prophetic utterances, and how they sometimes startle me. But, the truth is that I’ve learned to distinguish God’s voice and trust Him when He says something. That comes with years and years of having my senses trained by the Holy Spirit to know when something is an important message for others in the Body of Christ.
The Bible says that your senses are trained with use. If you refuse to use what He gives you, you could lose the ability to hear, i.e. if you don’t use it, you lose it! You must always be willing to “stick your neck out” because if you hold back on what the voice of the Lord gives you, you could eventually lose the ability to discern His voice, or He would simply go on to someone else who would be obedient to speak what He gives you. I wondered why somebody didn’t do something. Then I realized, I am somebody. ~Author Unknown
I’ve heard so many people say that this task of getting prepared for disasters is just too much for them. Some have no support or backing whatsoever from anyone in their family, and consider it a daunting task to go it alone. Some have made a gallant start and then run into resistance by financial circumstances or other situations beyond their control. Some wouldn’t be caught dead (pun unintended) prepping, afraid that others would think they were really “out there.” And others have good intentions to do it someday.
But recently, those who have never been preppers before are starting to get prepared now. There’s something going on in people’s hearts that tells them it’s time and no more procrastinating! Continue reading →
We’ve had some amazing guests these last couple of years, and without fail, they are all telling us that prophetic events are leading us rapidly into the Times of Trouble. Jim and I know this by the Spirit, but we always look for a consensus from those we trust. We are not lone rangers, although sometimes we feel like we’re not getting through to as many as we want to.
It’s a time to take our heads out of the sand! The bottom line is that it’s time to face everything for what it’s worth – which is reality. We need to be able to say, “This is what’s happening – this is what’s going on. So therefore, we have responsibility for not just ourselves but others as well – to help them during these incredible times of crisis.” We are going to live through some very difficult times, and some of us may die for what we believe in. Some may live through it all and live to tell people that all may come to know the Lord as Savior. Continue reading →
When I was in prison, I searched every scripture for a pre-tribulation rapture. I searched and searched. I read everybody’s book, all the prophetic teachers’ books, and not one of them gave scripture for a pre-tribulation Rapture. Scofield’s notes were as close as they could get to proving a pre-tribulation Rapture in the Bible and the Scofield notes are not the written Word of God; they’re notes!
Yet, here you have it in plain speak, in Matthew 24. It doesn’t get any clearer than this:
“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn.” Continue reading →
Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that there’s a time for every purpose under heaven. God wants us to understand the times we live in and He wants us to treat them with awe and the proper respect for what is about to take place.
It’s one thing when the world doesn’t respect or acknowledge that God is about to shake things up for one final manifestation of the truth of His Word; it’s another for His own people to be so in love with this world that they don’t want to know anything about the final days of it… as we know it, anyway.
This is a year to choose how you spend your time very wisely. We have heard from the most authoritative prophetic voices of our times that we are entering a very serious year, and a season of magnificent signs with the Blood Moons that point to something very big, very soon. Continue reading →
John then told me about a pastor that contacted him and ordered 150 of his books for his church. This pastor had a Dr. of Theology degree, very strong in the Word, and has pastored for over 40 years in a well-known and well-respected denomination that has preached a pre-trib rapture forever! John read from his letter:
“Dear John,
I pastor a large Baptist church in North Carolina, and as such I have been taught and have taught for many years that there would be a pre-tribulation rapture. Several weeks ago, a member of my previous congregation called and told me that I just had to read your book. As I told you on the phone, I probably would not have purchased this book at first glance at a book store. But at my friend’s insistence, I ordered it. I did my first reading per the advice of a former college professor who told us to read books like we eat fish, ‘eat the meat and spit out the bones.’ In other words, if you stop reading a book at the first place where you disagree with the author, you will probably never finish, or you will finish very few books. So much is happening in our world. The reason we bring news into our show is because it’s the Revelation fulfillment – it’s the fulfillment of the entire book of Revelation and the signs of the End of the Age in Matthew 24.
It’s amazing that all of the prophetic word is being fulfilled – the droughts, the slaughtering of Christians. This ISIS is killing Christians – Jesus said before I come back, they will hate you and put you to death because of my name (Matthew 24:9). I never thought in the United States of America that people would hate Christians, but it is an antichrist spirit, and anti-Word spirit. You can get a comic book into schools but not a Bible! In the news recently, there was a 5th grader that was banned from reading the Bible during ‘free reading’ time! And a teacher was punished and banned from bringing her Bible to school. She wasn’t reading it to the class; she was just reading it for her own devotional! She could have a pornographic book, or x-rated material sitting on her desk, and she could get by with that. And during this last season, a professor specifically told his students that you cannot thank God during your graduation speech. Continue reading →
We have heard from quite a few people who are concerned about how to prepare when their finances are very tight. Prepping can seem like it’s beyond your reach, but don’t give up; where there’s a will there’s a way! Jim and I understand this very well and we’re not insensitive to the plight of those who are challenged by a limited income.
Anyone who has read my book, “More Than I Could Ever Ask” knows that there was a time when I actually shined shoes at the airport to make ends meet and to provide for myself when I was in full-time ministry in Phoenix. People may say, “oh you poor thing,” but I’m not looking for sympathy and I didn’t feel disadvantaged even then. I was so in love with Jesus and happy to do whatever it took to provide for my needs and stay in ministry. Continue reading →
