It was a picture perfect day for a picnic in the Ozarks as if God knew what was planned at Morningside.
The annual Builder’s Club Picnic was a huge celebration of you, the people who make it possible for The Jim Bakker Show to continue broadcasting the good news of Christ to the world.
Held at the tabernacle, the event featured a picnic lunch of smoked pulled turkey, burgers, hot dogs and of course Morningside’s favorite Black Bean Burger. Pastor Jim and Lori took time to welcome the crowd and spent much of the time hugging people and shaking hands to directly thank the people who give of themselves for others around the world they will likely never meet. The Tuesday night service began with Kevin Shorey firing up the crowd with gospel and patriotic songs like “God Bless The U.S.A.”
He then turned the worship time over to Tammy Sue who lead an acoustic worship set with the Morningside Band. The presence of the Spirit permeated Grace Street as Tammy Sue’s soulful voice resonated deeply within those in attendance.
Tammy Sue performed “Dance With Me,” “I Give Myself Away” and “I Exalt Thee” in a duet with Kristi Blankenship.

The opening night of the huge 4th of July Celebration featured a strong move of God.
The service opened with Kevin Shorey introducing the worship leaders for the night. They weren’t your typical worship leaders! CCM Dove award nominated vocalist Kim Boyce and her husband Gary Koreiba lead people into the presence of Christ and brought many people to tears.
There was a special moment when Pastor Jim Bakker spoke with Kim & Gary about their family and friends. He shared about the importance of family and how all of us as sons and daughters of God are a part of God’s family.

For those who are fans of the “No Show Show,” it’s been a very dry season in the last three weeks while Tammy was out with bronchitis. But the dry season is over and she’s back, along with the rest of the band, and we couldn’t be more excited!
You never know what’s going to happen on the “No Show Show!” Sometimes, the Holy Spirit takes complete control and it’s three hours of pure praise. And then sometimes, intercession is the order of the day as prayers for individuals, the nation, and our world come bubbling out of hearts hungry for God and His will. Continue reading →
When a tragedy like the Boston Marathon bombing happens, people everywhere cry out for answers. Pastor Jim Bakker and John Paul Jackson discuss this and other acts of terrorism in America, a country that was once considered the safest place on earth.
Pastor Jim referred to an amazing recent word of knowledge the Lord gave him to “Pray for Boston” and played back the tape from December of 2012 when he gave this word on live television. He said he didn’t understand it, but he knew he had to be obedient to give the word.
We understand it now.
Both John Paul and Pastor Jim believe that the hedge of God’s protection has been let down and the enemy is able to breach our walls because of rebellion, lawlessness and disobedience. Ingredients:
1/4 Cup Butter or Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Flour
1 Can of Chicken Broth (14.5 oz)
1/4 Cup Sweet Potato Powder
1 1/2 Tbs Pumpkin Powder
1 Tbs Sugar (Optional)
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/8 tsp Pepper
1 Pint Half & Half
Make a light roux by melting butter over medium heat until bubbling and then slowly whisk in flour and stir over heat for 1 minute.
Slowly stir in chicken broth.
Bring to a boil and then stir in Sweet Potato Powder, Pumpkin Powder, sugar (optional), salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Bring mixture back to a boil.
Stir in half & half and cook until heated through, do not boil.

Rabbi Cahn packed the house yet again as he and Pastor Jim and Lori discussed the Passover and other major issues facing our nation and our world. The Rabbi called Morningside his “second home” and said every time he comes, he feels like he is back home again.
As the program began, Lori recalled how she had met Billye Brim in a local grocery store and asked her what the current word of the Lord is, and she replied without hesitation, “Jesus is coming very, very, very soon.” Lori added that Jesus is going to restore all things to His people, and then she talked about the amazing week she and Pastor Jim had just had in Fort Mill, South Carolina where they taped several shows from the grounds of Heritage International which is the former Heritage USA – built in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s by Pastor Jim and the PTL partners and friends. Have you ever wanted to have an “Upper Room” experience? In the second chapter of Acts we learn of a tremendous move of the Holy Spirit which touched all those who had gathered in prayer. In Acts 2:1 we’re told that everyone was in one accord. The ongoing prayer and unity prepared the Upper Room participants for the Holy Spirit invasion. And such was the case during our recent trip to Heritage USA the week of February 25th-March 2nd.
