Narrative
This powerful episode begins with Pastor Marvin Winans talking about the initial start of BeBe and CeCe Winans. When Pastor Jim Bakker had first asked them to come and sing on the PTL club, their father would not let CeCe leave. Their father was very protective of her. After having seven boys, being the only girl she had stricter rules. Marvin took full responsibility of CeCe, as she was only sixteen years old, to his father and in return she was allowed to go to the PTL Club. Her initial performance on the PTL club is what started her mega career. Today the Winans are still singing for the Lord and doing greater things each year with His guiding hand.
As the Christmas season approaches, the spirit of giving is in full swing. Pastor Winans shares about his women’s ministry in Michigan. The Amelia Agnes House is a place for women to go that are in transition. The Winans encourage women of all situations come and have a place that they can be at rest. It is not just for those who are battered. One of the recent guests was a lady who was married to a military official. He moved her to the Detroit area, but then decided he did not want to be married anymore. She found solace at this place of comfort and rest. Pastor Jim and Pastor Winans feel that it is the responsibility of the Church to take care of those who are hurting. The Church should be the center of the community.
Pastor Winans shares some powerful songs and testimonies from his life. His songs were anointed and purposeful for the Christian of today. God has blessed him with the ability to write powerful worship songs to inspire those who walk in the valleys. Pastor Jim asked Pastor Winans and Kevin Shorey to sing a song. Together they sang “Great Is They Faithfulness”. Pastor Jim was moved to tears as were most of the members of the audience. The anointing of the Lord could be felt among the people sitting there. Pastor Jim was moved and feeling God’s spirit allowed Pastor Winans to sing one more song. The song was written for a lady who was a regular at this church. Pastor Winans said that she would come to the alter every week to get “saved”. One week she came and said that she had to move because she had given her heart to Jesus. She knew she couldn’t continue to live the way she had been living. Pastor Winans wanted to sing one last song for her. He went to his piano and wrote and sang the song “Wherever I Go” for her.
Pastor Jim wants to encourage the saints to be prepared for the year 2012. He has a mandate from God that it is time for the church to get organized and to stock supplies for upcoming events. As earthquakes and new disasters strike every day, God is urging his church to be ready for the time of sorrows. Surely we are living in the last days and the book of Revelations is coming to pass. The food supplies are important as we face uncertain days. Those who are prepared can provide some comfort and security for their families. The time for the church to get ready is now. God has given Pastor Bakker a word for 2012, which is confusion. He urges all to be ready as end time prophecy continues to unfold.
