William Branham, Jim Bakker, Prophets of Yesterday and Today

Prophets have been a unique part of humankind for thousands of years.  Discerning the prophetic word takes faith, but the true value of a prophet and his or her visions are only if they stand the tests of time.  

Pastor Jim Bakker has been prophesying for over fifty years.  He was willing to listen to God’s words and be obedient enough to step out on faith and say YES! Many of his prophecies have stood the test of time. His warning only weeks before the Boston Marathon attack and predictions regarding 9/11, as well as many others, are well documented.  Sometimes God repeats His message, mirroring another prophet with a reminder of what to expect with additional warnings, but many times we do not see the full meaning of the prophecy until time has passed.  

There have been many prophets of God in whom the Lord has trusted.  In an article called YEAR IN REVIEW: William Branham’s 7 Prophetic Visions That Came to Pass, written for Charisma magazine, Pastor Bakker speaks of William Branham who had seven very distinct prophecies in 1933.  

We would be remiss if we did not include the word that Pastor Bakker received for his New Year’s message last year as 2016 began.  His message was vast and included many of the prophecies of William Branham but in his main message he said:

“God spoke to me last night in an unusual way. One of the things He said to me was, ‘It’s time to batten down the hatches’. Why would HE say ‘Batten down the Hatches’? When a storm is coming, ships batten down the hatches. God is telling us to get ready for the storm!”

Perhaps we were expecting a storm of a different kind, maybe it wasn’t a natural disaster we were to look for at all.  Maybe the storm in which we were to “Batten down the Hatches” was actually a tumultuous political storm from a deeply emotional election year.  This monster storm raged for months, tearing apart friends, family and neighbors. Perhaps this is what God was warning us about. This fight to the end between Liberals and Conservatives was about as predictable as a hurricane. All we really know for sure is that in most Christian’s minds and hearts, God had His hand on the outcome of this election.

Some feel that Pastor Jim’s prophecy has yet to be played out, but when God wants to communicate on broad terms to His children, sometimes we just have to take it at face value and be ready, be warned, be prepared and “Batten down the hatches” for whatever will come next.    

All prophecy comes from faith.  Our God will continue to use his prophets throughout the world.  “Believe in the Lord your God and you will be supported.  Believe His Prophets, and you will succeed.”

1968 Norwegian Prophecy Seems Right On Track

On a recent taping, Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker welcomed Rabbi Jonathan Cahn to the show where he shared a prophecy that was written down in 1968 and given by a 90 year old woman in Norway.  The evangelist Emanuel Minos had been giving services where she lived and had the opportunity to meet her.  At the time, he thought the prophecy to be so incomprehensible that he put it in a drawer.  Thirty years later in 1998 he brought it out and it was published in Norway.  The prophecy has created much interest yet again with the events happening now all over the world.  

Rabbi shared portions of this prophecy on the show.  The following is the complete vision that was given along with a few notes by Emanuel Minos that are included next to some statements.

Please keep in mind that this vision from God was given to a 90 year old woman in 1968.   

 

~THE VISION~

“I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. I saw the events with my natural eyes. I saw the world like a kind of a globe and saw Europe, land by land. I saw Scandinavia. I saw Norway. I saw certain things that would take place just before the return of Jesus, and just before the last calamity happens, a calamity the likes of which we have never before experienced.

She mentioned four waves:

  1. “First before Jesus comes and before the Third World War breaks out there will ‘détente’ like we have never had before. There will be peace between the superpowers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. (Remember, that this was in 1968 when the cold war was at its highest. -E. Minos) In this period of peace there will be disarmament in many countries, also in Norway and we are not prepared when it (the war) comes. The Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated – and from an unexpected place.
  1. “A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity.

“The important thing will be to have success, to be something; to have material things, things that God never promised us in this way. Churches and prayer houses will be emptier and emptier. Instead of the preaching we have been used to for generations -like, to take your cross up and follow Jesus, – entertainment, art and culture will invade the churches where there should have been gatherings for repentance and revival. This will increase markedly just before the return of Jesus.

  1. “There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never experienced the likes of. People will live together like married without being married. (I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’? existed in 1968 – E. Minos.) Much uncleanness before marriage, and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter Christian circles and we pet it – even sin against nature. Just before Jesus return there will be TV- programs like we have never experienced. (TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. -E. Minos)

“TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one ‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ (She did not know the word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them stations. -E. Minos.) TV will be just like the radio where we have many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things that takes place in a marriage.” (I protested and said, we have a paragraph that forbids this kind of thing. -E. Minos.) There the old woman said: “It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass before our eyes.”

 

  1. “People from poor countries will stream to Europe. (In 1968 there was no such thing as immigration. -E. Minos.) They will also come to Scandinavia – and Norway. There will be so many of them that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them. They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War. Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached (I protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at the time. -E. Minos.)

 

The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks. “I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war.” (She saw it in the vision.)

“All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one, and it will be ended with a nuclear atom bomb. The air will be so polluted that one cannot draw one’s breath. It will cover several continents, America, Japan, Australia and the wealthy nations. The water will be ruined (contaminated?). We can no longer till the soil. The result will be that only a remnant will remain. The remnant in the wealthy countries will try to flee to the poor countries, but they will be as hard on us as we were on them.

“I am so glad that I will not see it, but when the time draws near, you must take courage and tell this. I have received it from God, and nothing of it goes against what the Bible tells.

“The one who has his sin forgiven and has Jesus as Savior and Lord, is safe.”

 

John Shorey Returning to Morningside!

John Hagee’s “Four Blood Moons” To Become Movie

A docu-drama based on the best seller Four Blood Moons is being produced to hit theaters by March.

The book and now movie will show how that “Scripture, science and history tie together.”  The movie will be in theaters for one night only, March 23, between a total solar eclipse and a total lunar eclipse.

“The heavens are ‘God’s billboard.’ He’s been sending signals to Earth, and we haven’t been picking them up,” Hagee is quoted as saying in a press release on the new movie. “Two blood moons, in 2014 and 2015, point to dramatic events in the Middle East and, as a result, changes in the whole world.”

Hagee notes that four consecutive lunar eclipses have fallen on Passover and Sukkot only three times in the last 500 years.

A press release for the film states:

“”Four Blood Moons” combines scripture, science, history and big-screen live action spanning centuries, including previous similar lunar occurrences and the earth-shaking changes around them. It also examines our four blood-moon cycle-and its possible meaning for Israel, the Middle East and the world.

An array of historians, religious scholars and commentators appear in “Four Blood Moons” and offer their insight-filmmaker, speaker and author Dinesh D’Souza; radio host and author Dennis Prager; and noted author and historian David Barton to name just a few.”

The previous instances of consecutive eclipses on Jewish holy days have happened the same time as the founding of Israel in 1948-49 and Jerusalem rejoining the state of Israel.

2015 Word from the Lord (Pt. 2)

Boots on the Ground

This New Year is the time to dress up in righteousness, put your “glad rags” on and be prepared to preach and minister the word of the Lord. It’s also time to put some “boots on the ground,” dig ditches and help build what God wants to build for the days ahead. Morningside is a place of safety and a refuge for the last days. We need to be ready.

A recent guest on our program said, “Everything could change in a day. A Mega-quake may actually be the first domino that will push us into the tribulation period.”

Spiritual warfare is at the door. The church has got to have their boots on – we have to be ready to do some work! Christian soldiers need to have “boots on the ground.” Continue reading →

2015 Word of the Lord

Seeking the Lord for a word for the new year is always a very serious pursuit and this year is even more crucial as we see the “red lights of prophecy” flashing all around us and God’s plan unfolding at breakneck speed. The Lord began to speak to me while we were in Israel, and the word that I give to you I sincerely pray will resonate with your spirit and cause you to be more prepared for these times we see looming on the horizon. Obedience is Better than Sacrifice

We have been talking a lot on the show about the prophecies of David Wilkerson, some written over 30 years ago.  We now know they’re for today because we can see them coming to pass before our very eyes.  We believe that these prophecies have been illuminated for this time in our prophetic juncture so that God could remind His people of His faithfulness.

The referrals we are making to David’s books and prophecies are not to lift him up, because even he would resist that!  No, we are not flattering anybody – we are simply declaring the word that he prophesied because it rings true with the Bible and with everything going on in our world.

Our use of David Wilkerson’s books and prophecies have caused quite a stir, even a phenomenon on line – the value of anything he has written has skyrocketed to ridiculous numbers!  I wish David were still here to see this happening, but I know he is finally smiling from heaven. Continue reading →

The Imminent Judgment of God (Pt. 1)

So much is happening in our world. The reason we bring news into our show is because it’s the Revelation fulfillment – it’s the fulfillment of the entire book of Revelation and the signs of the End of the Age in Matthew 24.

It’s amazing that all of the prophetic word is being fulfilled – the droughts, the slaughtering of Christians. This ISIS is killing Christians – Jesus said before I come back, they will hate you and put you to death because of my name (Matthew 24:9). I never thought in the United States of America that people would hate Christians, but it is an antichrist spirit, and anti-Word spirit. You can get a comic book into schools but not a Bible! In the news recently, there was a 5th grader that was banned from reading the Bible during ‘free reading’ time! And a teacher was punished and banned from bringing her Bible to school. She wasn’t reading it to the class; she was just reading it for her own devotional! She could have a pornographic book, or x-rated material sitting on her desk, and she could get by with that. And during this last season, a professor specifically told his students that you cannot thank God during your graduation speech. Continue reading →

Trumpets are Sounding! (Pt. 2)

The prophetic word that was written by David Wilkerson in his 1985 book, Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth, had already come to pass in stunning accuracy in the oil fields of the Middle East. And now, from the grave, David Wilkerson’s next prophecy was confirming what God had shown John Shorey when he wrote about the Five End-Time Wars.

David had written, “The enemy will make its move when we are weak and helpless.”

John continued, “America has a future invasion, which I had just covered as the Five End-Time Wars. And when that was first given to me through the writing of my second book, and I sent this outline of the Five End-Time Wars to Jim, I looked at it as information for his benefit. I never thought we would talk about it, because can we handle the fact that America would be part of an end-time war, and that an invasion would happen in America before the rapture? Get Ready!

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that I cannot remember a time that we have needed and appreciated your support any more than we do right at this moment! Lori and I want so much for you to be ready for anything and I know in my heart that something BIG is about to happen!

I am not the only one feeling this way! When Pastor John Hagee was here with us recently he said, “I think the message that God is sending to His children is that the King is coming. Get ready, get ready, get ready! The Son of God is about to appear in the clouds of Heaven and this world (as it is) is soon to be over.”

Both, Pastor Hagee and Pastor Mark Biltz are warning of major prophetic events surrounding the appearance of the ‘blood moons’ in conjunction with Israel’s Holy Feast Days. The signs in the heavens couldn’t be any more apparent, marking major prophetic events which will become clear as we wait on the Lord. The message right now is to get ready! My heart tells me that YOU also know something big is coming.

The situation in the Middle East with Israel is causing great concern.  Israel is at the center of every conflict that is threatening to explode in that region, sending the entire world into chaos. The Bible makes it clear that how we deal with Israel is how God will deal with us (Genesis 12:3).

William Koening, author of the bestselling book Eye to Eye and Washington news correspondent, came to share his perspective on the consequences of dividing Israel’s land. William said, “Pressuring Israel into peace talks is going to have consequences. The greater the pressure on Israel, the greater the corresponding catastrophe.”  With the unfortunate decisions being made recently in regard to Israel, we will not have to wait long to see the consequences.

Our friend John Shorey has been spending the week with us on our show passing on the revelations that he experienced during the last blood moon. What he said only adds to my urgency to do whatever I can to help others get ready. “When events start to unfold that makes many aware of the need to prepare at once, the prep food industry will be overwhelmed.  The Bible teaches that events leading to the Lord’s return will catch many unaware. It’s sad that many of those who will be caught ill prepared will be Christians.”

We don’t know what is coming, as much as we know something big is coming!  Whatever it is, all of our guests agreed that the major and most immediate crisis will be a food shortage. Experts say it will only take 3 days for food to disappear from the grocery store’s shelves in a major catastrophic event, so what you have in your cupboards won’t last long!
