Boko Haram Terrorists Get Life Sentence

Four members of the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram have been sentenced to life in prison after convictions related to bomb attacks that killed 19 Nigerians.

They were found guilty of masterminding an attack on an electoral commission office and a Christian church in 2012. The sentences are the strongest given to any convicted Boko Haram terrorist. Nigerian Military Begins Offensive Against Islamic Terrorists

The Nigerian army has begun an offensive against the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram.

The troops have started by raiding a game reserve in Borno state where Boko Haram has established training bases and storage depots. The assault was the first major attack since President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in the region because of the terrorist threat. Continue reading

Islamic Terrorists Kill 55 In Coordinated Nigerian Attacks

nigeriaattacksMilitary officials said Islamic terrorists launched coordinated attacks across Northeast Nigeria that has killed at least 55 people.  The attack struck Barna in Borno state that has seen almost continual terror assaults since Boko Haram began their campaign of terror in 2010.

The terrorists used the assault to raid a federal prison and free 105 inmates. Continue reading
