Boko Haram Rampage Leaves Dozens Dead

Officials in Borno State are reporting a massacre over the weekend in the Christian town of Shani carried out by Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram.

The communications with the town were cut off during the attack and officials say they are just now learning the scope of the attack.

A resident of the town told the Nigerian Daily Post that Boko Haram descended on the town around 8 p.m. local time on Saturday.

“They came on about 10 motorcycles from Gwaskara axis, well armed with Ak47 rifles, improvised explosive devices and petrol bombs, wrecking havoc without confrontation as there was no military operatives, nor police to assist the armless civilians who were running for dear lives,” the witness said.

The witness said at least two dozen people were killed and many businesses looted.

“A boy ran into my shop and said his father and elder brother had been shot. He was only wearing shorts, no top and sweating despite the wintry weather. I shut down my shop immediately, leaving some items outside,” business-owner Shuabu Lawal said.

Terrorist Bomber Kills 48 Students In Nigeria

A homicide terrorist bomber has killed 48 students at a high school in Nigeria.

Local officials say that Boko Haram is behind the attack on the students.

“We were waiting for the principal to address us, around 7:30 a.m., when we heard a deafening sound and I was blown off my feet, people started screaming and running, I saw blood all over my body,” said 17-year-old student Musa Ibrahim Yahaya to The Associated Press.

The death toll is at least 48 with 79 injured.

A wounded teacher told officials at a hospital that the terrorist had dressed as a student and walked into the assembly ground with the students.

Boko Haram, whose name means “western education is sinful”, has repeatedly attacked schools.

Boko Haram Kidnaps 60 Women

Islamic extremist group Boko Haram has committed another kidnapping of women in Nigeria.

The group kidnapped 60 more girls despite reports they were agreeing to a ceasefire and the release of the last 200 girls still remaining from a raid on a school in Chibok in April.

“The insurgents are still in the area. They slit the throats of three men in Garta and abducted many young women. We also heard from residents of Waga that they killed two men and took 40 women away,” said Tizhe Kwada, a resident of Garta.

The Nigerian government had claimed a cease fire with the group was reached last week.

The BBC reported now Boko Haram is claiming there is no ceasefire and that talks between the extremists and the government will be continuing in neighboring Chad.

“If they are aware and they are in agreement that there is a ceasefire, I don’t think they would continue attacking innocent people and taking over places,” said Bulama Mali Gubio of the Borno Elders Forum.

Christian Pastor Escapes Boko Haram Captors

A Christian pastor that had been kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram escaped after 10 months in captivity.

Pastor Rotimi Obajimi had been taken to the Sambisa Forest where he was tied down for months.  He was then moved to another location before bring brought back to the Forest where he escaped during a heavy downpour.

“We were so amazed to see him because we have been praying earnestly for a long time trusting Jesus that He would surely come back, but lo and behold he was brought to our headquarters in Maiduguri by the military,” a pastor at Redeem Church in Maiduguri told SaharaReporters.

The pastor is in Maimallari Hospital for treatment and will be debriefed by military officials before he will return to his church.

Boko Haram has been slaughtering Christian pastors so the fact Pastor Obajimi was shocking to Nigerian officials.

Boko Haram Beheads Seven

The Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram is continuing to follow in the footsteps of ISIS as they beheaded another seven people.

The seven were murdered in the northeastern Nigerian town of Ngamdu during the night as people slept. Resident woke in the morning to find the seven bodies on display.

“[The murderers] slit their throats just the way people slaughter goats,” a Ngamdu resident told reporters.

Fifteen terrorists were killed in the Ngamdu area two weeks ago when local militia rose up and drove the terrorists out of the town.  The group vowed to get revenge on the town because of the killings.

The Nigerian government has been helpless in stopping the terror group from overtaking about two dozen towns in the northern part of Nigeria.  The group claims they have an Islamic caliphate.

Boko Haram Leader Releases New Video

The leader of Boko Haram, who the Nigerian government claimed to have killed, has appeared in a new video that was posted to the social media site YouTube.

“Here I am, alive. I will only die the day Allah takes my breath,” Abubakar Shekau says in the video.  “Nothing will kill me until my days are over. … I’m still alive. Some people asked you if Shekau has two souls. No, I have one soul, by Allah.”

The video showed Shekau in the back of a pickup truck where he says they are running their Islamic caliphate.  The video also showed them killing a man accused of adultery and lashing a woman for having sex outside of marriage.

Boko Haram also confirmed their alignment with ISIS, essentially spreading the terrorist group from the Middle East into Africa.

The executive director of the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans says that President Obama needs to stop focusing only on ISIS and realize that Islamic terrorism is spreading throughout the world.

“Obama will need to include other terrorist groups like Boko Haram, Hamas and Hezbollah,” Pastor Laolu Akande said.

One Boko Haram Kidnapped Girl Freed

It’s a little victory but a victory nonetheless.

Police and parents of a girl who had been kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram in Nigeria say she was freed earlier this week.

“She was found running in a village. She was in the bush for about four days. She’s still receiving medical attention,” a parent told Reuters news agency.  The girl was found about 60 miles from the village of Chibok where she had been kidnapped with hundreds of other girls.

She is reported in stable condition at a hospital.

The military also reported they had killed a man who had been posting in videos as Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau.  The man was seen in videos threatening to sell the girls into slavery and mocking the United States.  The military claims Shekau has been dead for a year but that Boko Haram leadership to keep rank and file in line has used lookalikes.

At least 200 girls remain captive and missing.

Nigerian Christian Survives Brutal Boko Haram “Conversion Attack”

The Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram is known for invading villages and giving the residents the option to convert to Islam or die.  What has not been known is the extent of the brutality this group has used to try and get conversions, along with why so many people seem to give in to their demands.

A Christian man, John Yakuba, had fled the city of Gwoza with his family when the terrorists first began to invade.  He and his family had to leave everything behind in the rush to get away and save their lives.

Unfortunately, his family was unable to find a place to live that would support them so he had to return to the village to see if he could recapture some of their livestock.

The terrorists seized him before he could even make it to his former home.

“You must convert to Islam or else you will die a painful death,” he was told.

“You can kill my body, but not my soul,” Yakuba repied.

The terrorists then methodically began slashing his body with a machete.  His hands, then his back, then his feet.  All the time asking if he would follow Allah.  When it became clear the man would not deny the Savior Jesus Christ, they hit him in the knee and head with an axe and left him for dead when he passed out.

In what can only be described as a miracle, someone spotted Yakuba tied to a tree three days after the assault and Yakuba was alive.  He is currently recovering in a hospital in a safe area of the country.

“I have forgiven the Islamic militants because they did not know what they are doing,” Yakuba told witnesses at the hospital.

Netanyahu Says Israel Will Fight Islamic State

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel will step up and be a part of the international coalition to destroy the Islamic terrorist group Islamic State.

Netanyahu addressed the statements of President Obama in an address where he also warned Iran against acquiring nuclear weapons.  Netanyahu said that Islamic State is no different than terror groups like Hamas, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and al-Shabab.

“These groups must be fought. They must be rolled back and they must ultimately be defeated. That’s why Israel fully supports President Obama’s call for united actions against ISIS,” Netanyahu said.

“All civilized countries should stand together in the fight against the radical terrorism currently sweeping the Middle East, Netanyahu added. “And we are playing our part in this continued effort. Some of the things are known; some of the things are less known.”

Netanyahu said to the Muslims around the world they need to realize that Israel is an ally against Islamic extremism and that perhaps some Arab nations need to re-evaluate their relationships with Israel.

“They understand Israel is not their enemy but their ally in the fight against this common enemy. I believe that presents an opportunity for cooperation and perhaps an opportunity for peace.”

ISIS Working With Boko Haram

While the world is focusing on the Islamic terrorist group ISIS in Iraq and Syria, the terror unit is quietly working to help another extremist group set up their own “caliphate” in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Security Network has found connections between Boko Haram and ISIS that indicates the major terror network is helping the Nigerian outfit with military tactics, supplies and “spiritual” guidance.

“Unless swift action is taken, Nigeria could be facing a rapid takeover of a large area of its territory reminiscent of ISIS’s lightning advances in Iraq,” the NSN said.

The Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans is calling on President Obama to look beyond ISIS to the terror groups that are receiving their assistance as he builds a world coalition against terrorism.

“As the US President Barack Obama is articulating a strategy to degrade and destroy ISIS, we urge him not to forget Boko Haram as well. Every moment we leave Boko Haram alone empowers the terrorists to become even more devious and devilish,” CANA Executive Director Pastor Laolu Akande said in a statement.

Boko Haram followed in the footsteps of ISIS in declaring an Islamic Caliphate in northern Nigeria.  Some local leaders are now calling Boko Haram the “Islamic State Nigeria Branch”.
