Abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy will be banned in North Carolina beginning July 1

Leviticus 24:17 “Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.

Important Takeaways:

  • Most abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy will be banned in North Carolina beginning July 1 after the state’s Republican-controlled Legislature successfully overrode the Democratic governor’s veto late Tuesday.
  • Abortion is banned or severely restricted in much of the South, including bans throughout pregnancy in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia. In Georgia, it’s allowed only in the first six weeks.
  • Stricter bans across the South would heighten Virginia’s role as an access point and create a “ripple effect” as people travel from out of state to seek care
  • Virginia currently allows abortions in the first and second trimesters. An abortion is allowed in the third trimester only if three doctors certify the mother’s mental or physical health is at serious risk.

France and Sweden move to make abortion a constitutional right while Hungary and Poland enact prolife policies

Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder.”

Important Takeaways:

  • Sweden’s ‘Conservative’ Govt to Make Abortion a Constitutional Right
  • Sweden’s allegedly “conservative” center-right coalition government, led by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, has expressed a desire to change the country’s constitution to enshrine the right to abort babies.
  • “Establishing something in the Constitution – the foundation of our entire legal system – has several functions. It shows the values that characterize our society and it sets up robust protective walls around rights,” they said.
  • The move comes as fellow European Union member-state France has also vowed to make abortion a constitutional right
  • However, some national conservative-led countries in Central Europe, such as Poland and Hungary, have moved in the opposite direction, enacting more pro-life policies.
  • Poland has largely outlawed abortion
  • Hungarians have so far taken a more modest approach to strengthening the rights of the unborn, putting in place a policy that requires mothers to listen to the heartbeats of their children before confirming they wish to proceed with a termination.

  • Walgreens’s move, which was first reported by Politico, also drew criticism from the White House on Friday, with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying it was “dangerous and unacceptable” for Republicans to target pharmacies for offering the pills.

In the UK another person is in trouble for their Silent Prayers

Silent Prayer Abortion

1Peter 4:12-14 “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

Important Takeaways:

  • Wake-Up Call: Second Person Faces Criminal Record For Silently Praying In The UK
  • A man from Southampton, U.K., has been fined for praying near an abortion facility in Bournemouth.
  • Adam Smith-Connor, a British army veteran, stood still and silent on Ophir Road, a public street, for a few minutes before being approached by “community safety accredited officers,” according to an article at adf.uk
  • The officers warned him he was in an area under a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO), which establishes a “safe zone” around abortion clinics and prohibits “engaging in any act of approval/disapproval,” including praying. The abortion clinic in Bournemouth is the fifth one in the country to have this type of censorship zone, according to local news reports.
  • After repeatedly being asked what the nature of his prayer was, Smith-Connor told authorities he was praying for his son who died by abortion 22 years ago, a decision that still haunts him to this day.
  • “I’m sorry for your loss,” the council officer told Smith-Connor. “But ultimately, I have to go along with the guidelines of the Public Space Protection Order, to say that we are in the belief that therefore you are in breach of clause 4a, which says about prayer, and also acts of disapproval …”
  • He would never have imagined that praying silently would put him at risk for criminal record.
  • “In the past, I assisted with abortions in hospital as part of my army medical training, but now I pray for those who perform abortions, because I realize how harmful abortion is to women and families, and that every single human life is valuable—no matter how small,” he said. “Most of all, I’m moved to pray because of what happened to my son.”
  • “Nobody should be criminalized for what they believe—especially not when they express that belief silently, in the privacy of their own minds,” said Jeremiah Igunnubole, legal counsel for ADF UK

Mike Pompeo addresses that the fight is not over in the March for Life

  • Amid The Most Anti-Life Admin In History It Has Never Been More Important To March For Life
  • This week, those of us who believe in the sanctity of life for all persons, born and unborn, have a chance to show America that this fight is far from finished.
  • …we should also remember a crucial fact: this ruling did not outlaw abortion. Rather, it returned the right to vote on abortion to the states. This crucial judgment – of whether dignity inheres in all life, born or unborn – should no longer be settled in courts.  Instead, it will be argued and voted upon in state legislatures, where the hearts and minds of the American people are expressed in the laws that govern each state in our Union.
  • In 20 states, there are few legal restrictions on abortion, if there are any at all. Only 12 states have passed total bans.  This divide reveals a tough reality… If we who believe in the inviolability of the unborn are unable to convince our fellow Americans of this essential truth, the reversal of Roe will mean little in the long run.  This is not the time to rest on our laurels; it is the time to advance and triumph.
  • Shortly after the Dobbs decision was released, President Biden issued an Executive order that directed Medicaid funds to be used for women seeking an out-of-state abortion. He rescinded the Mexico City Policy, which ensured the taxpayer dollars of Americans did not fund abortions overseas.
  • Earlier this month, the Biden Administration formalized a process to allow retail pharmacies to sell abortion pills… This means that you can obtain the means to an abortion without so much as being seen in person by a healthcare provider, let alone having an ultrasound taken. These pills introduce real short and long-term risk to young women, but the Biden Administration has ignored these dangers in its haste to make abortive medication widely available.
  • Nearly half of Americans aged 18-34 support the right to abortion under any circumstances. These are the hearts and minds we have to change.
  • To do this, we must offer a different vision, one in which civil society and our state policy work together to promote the family, care for women who are in crisis and ensure every child has a stable home. That means reforming our broken foster care system, funding and supporting the nearly 2,700 pro-life Pregnancy Resource Centers across America, and making the adoption process safer and easier

Latest threat from Jane’s Revenge on Pro-life group in Nebraska includes use of deadly force if it does not get its way

Revelations 6:4 “Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.”

Important Takeaways:

  • Pro-Life Group in Nebraska Receives Shooting Threat Note Allegedly Signed by ‘Jane’s Revenge’
  • If our right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away due to the attempt to pass an abortion ban and it gets passed we will shoot up your Newman center with our new AR14 rifles (sic). Sincerely, Jane’s revenge.
  • The Newman Center is located near the University of Nebraska-Omaha’s Scott Campus.
  • Dan Andrews, the director of the center, told the outlet they will not be deterred… “This obviously causes us great concern. Our number one priority is the safety of our students… we are thankful for UNO Police’s prompt response and attention to this threat,”
  • The threat is the latest case among more than a dozen pro-life center and church vandalisms and fire-bombings claimed by Jane’s Revenge. The FBI said in June that it was investigating a wave of attacks against pro-life centers across the country, but as of early October, the FBI had not confirmed whether any arrests had been made in attacks against at least 83 Catholic churches and 73 pregnancy resource centers and organizations.

UK Parliament rules against Prayer near abortion clinics, yes even silent ones

Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Important Takeaways:

  • UK Bans Prayers Near Abortion Clinics, Even Silent Ones: ‘When Did It Become Against the Law to Pray?’
  • In a 297-110 vote, members of Parliament backed an amendment to the Government’s Public Order Bill that would outlaw the offering of prayer and advice to women outside of abortion clinics
  • A person caught praying outside an abortion clinic in England can now face up to six months in prison–even if they pray silently.
  • The U.K. has already taken steps to implement censorship zones that prohibit someone from using a mic to audibly pray and recite scripture outside of a clinic or kneel 500 feet outside a facility, according to the Christian Initiative.
  • MP Fiona Bruce. “But when did it become against the law in this country to pray? Well, unfortunately, five councils have now defined protests as including the word ‘prayer.’ Indeed, during the course of court proceedings, this has even been confirmed as including ‘silent prayer.'”

Court rules undercover Planned Parenthood investigation team must pay millions in ‘damages’

Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

Important Takeaways:

  • David Daleiden, Pro-Life Activists Ordered to Pay Planned Parenthood $2.4M for Exposing Sale of Baby Body Parts
  • A California appeals court has ruled that David Daleiden and his team of pro-life activists must pay $2.4 million to Planned Parenthood for an undercover investigation
  • Daleiden and Merritt, with the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) produced and released videos in 2015 exposing Planned Parenthood operatives discussing, even bragging about, how to maximize the sale of aborted baby body parts.
  • Daleiden and Merritt are the first undercover journalists to be criminally prosecuted in the history of California.
  • The lower court ruled the undercover pro-life investigators violated several laws including conspiracy, breach of contracts, fraud, fraudulent and unlawful business practices, trespass, RICO, and various federal and state wiretapping laws.
  • Liberty Counsel claims the court awarded millions of dollars in damages to Planned Parenthood;
    • without any proof that the undercover videos were false or deceptive
    • without allowing the jury to hear those conversations
    • without requiring Planned Parenthood to prove that the conversations recorded in public places were “confidential”

Calling ‘Evil Good, And Good Evil’: New York Gov. Says God Is On The Side Of Abortion

She says God is on the side of abortion. And she used a church to say it.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat who succeeded scandal-plagued Andrew Cuomo in 2021, has announced the awarding of $13.4 million in state grants to 37 New York abortion providers during a news conference held at Judson Memorial Church near Washington Square Park in Manhattan.

The Oct. 12 news conference received light press, and even fewer news outlets reported her quotes about God being on the side of abortion or the fact the news conference was held in a church. In June, Hochul described pro-lifers as “Neanderthals.”

Hochul commended “everyone involved in this congregation for inspiring us and letting us know that God is out there on our side as we continue to make sure that women have the rights that are God-given rights,” according to a report in the Albany Update, an electronic newsletter from New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms. “Light does prevail over darkness,” Hochul said. “And while there has been a dark pall cast over our nation in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, let that light continue to shine right here in the State of New York.”
