Islamic Militants Attack Egyptian Security HQ

Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"4 Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

“Hardly a day goes by when our senses are not bludgeoned by some new outbreak of terrorism in the Middle East.  Despite our best efforts at making and keeping the peace, political, economic, and religious tensions often lead to unrest, violence, and riots.”  Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”

Islamic militants have attacked the Egyptian security headquarters in the Sinai firing rockets and bullets from a different building. The attack in al-Arish was the flashpoint of daily battles between militants and security forces.

One police officer was killed and three wounded in the clashes.

The government has begun a security crackdown in the region after 16 Egyptian soldiers were killed in August. Security experts believe the Islamists to be a combination of Egyptian nationals and foreign militants. The Islamists are working with local Bedouin who have issues with the Egyptian government.

Militants launched another attack near the border of the Gaza Strip injuring three policeman.

The attacks are reported to have no connection to the current violence throughout the middle east related to an anti-Islam film.
