2 Timothy 3:1-5 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
Four children of a homeschooling family in Germany had their home raided and their children taken by the government because the parents refused to stop homeschooling the kids.
Germany bans homeschooling claiming that children cannot function in society unless they are exposed to “different points of view” as mandated by the government. The head of the regional youth services department told the BBC the children had to be seized to guarantee their right to education.
The Christian parents were concerned their children would be subjected to “undesirable influences” in the government schools.
The family had been moving around the European Union during the last four years trying to find a place where they could provide their children a Christian homeschool education but were unable to find anywhere that gave permission. The family was forced to return to Germany when the father was unable to find work.
The U.S. based Home School Legal Defense Association quoted the father as saying police considered him a terrorist.
“They told me they had an order to take the children,” the father is quoted as saying, “at my slightest movement the agents would grab me, as if I were a terrorist.”
The children have been permitted to be in written communication with their parents.
Let God arise and His enemies be scattered! Lord, come!
How long before this type of action starts taking place in America? With our current leadership in Washington I fear that it may be sooner than we think.
Oh Father God how we intercede for these children and their parents. Father, your word says that You make a way, when there seems to be no way. We ask Father, in Jesus name, that you intervene with Your might, to bring this family back together. Touch the hearts of government officials, that their eyes be opened to the love of Christ. We pray the precious blood of Jesus over this family and all other families homeschooling and thank You Father for Your favour in this situation. In Jesus name. Amen and Amen
