Gosnell Refuses To Testify In His Own Defense

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

Dr.Kermit Gosnell, the head of the abortion house of horrors in West Philadelphia, chose not to testify or call any witnesses in his defense on charges of murdering babies born alive in his clinic.

The trial now moves to closing arguments in the case against Gosnell and his co-defendant, Eileen O’Neill. O’Neill’s lawyers have already stated that the state did not prove their case against their client and she should be immediately freed.

Defense attorney Jack McMahon showed the jury photographs of a relatively clean waiting room and said that this proves the conditions were not as bad as claimed by prosecutors and a string of former employees who testified over the course of the trial, which has been ignored by almost every major media outlet in the nation.

The jury will now consider five murder counts and lesser charges including racketeering, performing illegal abortions after 24 weeks and endangering a child’s welfare.

Gosnell’s wife Pearl has pled to lesser charges as well as seven other former employees, four of whom testified against Gosnell. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty if Gosnell is convicted on any of the first-degree murder charges.
