Alveda King grew up in the civil rights movement led by her uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr..  Her days were spent learning from her father, the late civil rights activist Rev. A.D. King.  She now sees the pro-life movement as a continuation of that civil rights struggle and has been a huge influence in the effort to save the lives of millions of babies.

We are very happy to announce that Alveda will be joining us here at Morningside on Tuesday evening, August 2nd at 7pm for The Prophets Speak service and Wednesday, August 3rd at noon for taping of The Jim Bakker Show with Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker.

Dr. King currently serves as a Pastoral Associate and Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, and the African American Outreach for Priests for Life. She is also a voice for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, sharing her testimony of two abortions, God’s forgiveness, and healing.

As a “Guardian of the King Family Legacy” Alveda is a noted civil rights activist. She is often in demand for her knowledge and firsthand experience in the 20th Century Civil Rights Movement.

Ms. King is a powerful speaker as well as best-selling author.  Among her books are: How Can the Dream Survive if we Murder the Children?, Life at all Costs, and King Rules.

We look forward to hearing what God has brought into Alveda’s heart to share with us! Join us live stream on Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. CT for The Prophets Speak. If you miss it, we will be posting it on the PTL Television Network’s website (link) within a few days of her appearance.

We will not be live streaming the taping of The Jim Bakker Show but you will be able to see Alveda King’s appearance on Video on Demand on The Jim Bakker Show website the day it is scheduled to air on television.
