In Part 1 of “Let’s Talk” I shared with you two words, “GOD FIRST” and “INCREASE.” Let’s continue with the understanding of where we are in this new season. As we discuss these things, always remember that God is greater and “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
Here are some things to look forward to in 2016:
- God will still use you if you are willing and obedient.
- As the world grows darker, the Body of Christ will shine brighter and brighter.
- God will still provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19
- The revival that has begun will continue to spread and many will receive Jesus.
- The mainstream media will be used of God to share bona fide miracles.
- God will still be God.
- As persecutions increase many will be won to Christ.
- More of the people of God will step out in faith and relocate where God directs them.
- Many of God’s children will cooperate and be used by the Holy Spirit to a great degree than they ever have previously.
- The Body of Christ will draw closer together during these times. As their love for Christ increases, then their love for each other will also increase.
- We will continue to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Revelation 12:11
- Our Lord has a provision for every need and a solution to every problem facing us during 2016.
- God will use many who would normally be overlooked — so be encouraged!
Do you need more wisdom? If so, how is it obtained? We are told to ask for it! As you ask and then receive God’s wisdom, some of you will be surprised by what supernaturally pours out of your mouth. An increase in wisdom is available for all of God’s people.
James 1:5 – “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Psalms tells us that wisdom is the main thing and of utmost importance.
Proverbs 4:7 – “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10 – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” NIV
Job 28:28 – “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”
Ecclesiastes 7:19 – “Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city.
Ecclesiastes 9:18 – “Wisdom is better than weapons of war…”
James 3:17 – “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”
God Himself is the source of wisdom. He is wisdom and He always knows what is best for each of us.
Proverbs 3:6-7 – “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.”
We always need more understanding, love, insight, self-control, health, peace of mind, better relationships, knowledge, etc. Increase in these areas will come as we submit to the working of the Holy Spirit in our life.
Someone recently asked, “How can I make a difference with all the craziness going on in the world?” The answer given? Well, it came down to living your life for Jesus, taking accountability for your actions and getting your own house in order.
GOOD ADVICE!
Most of you know that Pastor Jim strongly exhorts us to prepare – prepare – prepare! The Lord doesn’t want us to be caught off guard or unaware of prophetic events as they unfold. In all your preparation, be sure to ask God for wisdom and direction. Put your hand to something so God can multiply it. Faith is an act! Do what you can and believe God for increase so you can help others.
As you keep God first, 2016 will be a year that you experience increased intimacy with the Lord and an increase in your love walk toward others. The Prayer Team is here for you. Give us a call and we will stand in faith with you for your breakthrough.
God bless you throughout 2016 as we venture together with God.
GOD FIRST – then INCREASE will come.
