So many times I have asked the Lord to heal me. Do I need to keep asking? Is my faith too weak that I am yet not healed? Do I need to do works to be healed?
What, Lord, what?
In prayer one day the Lord spoke and said: “Healing comes by faith, believing and speaking the Word of God.”
Romans 10:17 – “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” KJV
Okay, then I looked up several healing scriptures and started speaking them at the same time I would take my medicine from the doctor.
The more I spoke the Word of God for healing, the stronger my faith became, and the quicker I believed the Word for what it said. God is not moved by my circumstances, symptoms, or time to heal! He just spoke the Word.
John 6:63—“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
But I also found that it wasn’t just speaking the Word, but believing it totally without doubting.
Matthew 21:22 – “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
I am finding out by discipline to the Word of God, it doesn’t matter what others say about it or how I feel. God’s Word will not return void. If He said it, He will do it, Amen?
By reading the Word I am also learning to trust the Holy Spirit more and to “expect” that for which I pray for.
Mark 9:23-27 – “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.”
Remember when you were younger and all the things you expected to get as gifts for Christmas? No one was going to tell you otherwise, you said what you wanted, you spoke it and you believed for it, Amen?
Mark 11:23, 24 – “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Jesus did the same. He said what the Father said and also did what the Father did for results. He believed His Father didn’t doubt, and expected God’s Word to accomplish that which it was sent out to do.
Isaiah 55:11—“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Don’t give up, whatever your need. Mine is healing and I have come a long way. I’m expecting a complete healing soon.
I don’t know what you need from God. A healing, deliverance, restored relationship, whatever… Don’t give up on God and His Word. Jesus shed His blood on the cross over two thousand years ago. Your need and mine was done there. What we need to do now is to continue speaking the Word of God, believe and expect.
My prayer for you is to go from glory to glory and peace to peace. Get into God’s Word, fall in love with Jesus all over again. Move forward, doubt not His Word and it will come to pass. His promises are yes and amen!
Hebrews 10:23 — “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
II Corinthians 1:20 – “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” NKJV
Jesus is your Healer. He is no respecter of persons. If He will do it for me, He will do it for you. Believe, doubt not, and expect. Look for it and thank Him for the present situation and what will come, Amen?
Proverbs 4:20-22 – “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.”
This promise says that God’s Word will actually produce healing in our bodies if we continually feed and focus on the Word of God.
We enter His courts with praise and thanksgiving. Joy! Joy! Joy!
Psalm 100:4-5 – “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”
The joy of the Lord is my strength I will be glad in it. Praise God!
Nehemiah 8:10 – “…the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Psalm 103:1-5 – “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
