Many times in life we face uncertainties, fears and concerns. Some are justified, some are not. Even in our lifetime now, we see a generation fulfilling 1 Timothy 4: 1-3 and 2 Timothy 3: 1-7.
1 Timothy 4:1-3 – “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” KJV
2 Timothy 3:1-7 – “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” KJV
The scripture calls these perilous times. Our nation, as good as it is, has turned away from “relationship with Jesus” to religious forms of service which leads people away from God. From the courts to the White House to the Pew, the Name of Jesus and the Holy Scriptures have been ignored and disguised. The Ten Commandments and crosses are being removed from public places.
I stand on God’s Word for truth, protection and direction, which are promises given to all those who believe. When you believe, without doubting, then you will receive the answer. Faith in God will move every mountain! God always is true to His Word.
God’s protection plan for 2016 is found in one of my favorite chapters in the Bible.
Psalm 91 — “He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge, Fortress and Protector.” Vs. 4 says, “He shall cover you with His feathers, as a mother hen will cover her young in time of trouble. And under His wings you can take refuge. His Truth shall be your shield and buckler.”
Psalm 91 verses 5-10 are His Protection Plan.
“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.” KJV
Dr. Jeremiah puts it so plain in his footnotes. Vs. 5: “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, or the arrow that flies by day. Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.” Notice the absolute protection plan He provides.
The Hebrew day has four equal parts.
DAY represents 6:00 a.m. until noon.
NOONDAY represents 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.
NIGHT represents 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight
DARKNESS represents 12:00 midnight until 6:00 a.m.
24 hours a day.
Isaiah 43:2-3 completes it when it says:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God.”
Here are God’s three P’s.
- His Plan
- His Protection
- His Provision
These three P’s cover every area of our life. They include our destiny, God’s daily direction, our protection for now and the future, and every need that we will ever have!
As you stay close to the Lord, read His Word and follow the instructions in Psalm 91, God’s Protection Plan will be working in your life.
God Almighty is our God!
