You’re Not Free-falling!

Most people associate free-falling with an exhilarating experience that many skydivers crave. Jumping out of an airplane without deploying your parachute until you absolutely must, is an example of free-falling through the air. I’ve been told that there is no feeling like it – and I believe it! The only control you have when you are free-falling is over the ripcord, hopefully.

Our recent visit from Bobby Conner was very eventful to say the least. One of the things we talked about was how I had felt so out of control in my recent bout with stress – stress that landed me in the hospital and produced some frightening symptoms. I had no idea where to find the ripcord as my body’s defenses plummeted.

Being the prophet he is, Bobby’s word to me was that “you’re not free-falling!” Leave it to God to pick the exact words that could so accurately describe the feelings I had experienced in my recent bout with stress. That’s one of the things prophets do, you know… they receive supernatural revelation by which they use divine wisdom to minister a profound word that lays open the matter and then brings freedom or healing.

Sometimes words meant to encourage us can have very little meaning at all. But “a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” (Proverbs 25:11)

Such was the word from Bobby Conner.

My Heavenly Father wanted to reassure me that no matter how much I felt like things were out of control, He would catch me in the fathomless billows of His love. Reminds me of an old hymn:

Peace, peace, wonderful peace,

Coming down from the Father above!

Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray

In fathomless billows of love!

And He wants to reassure you, too. Receive this word today as your own, and walk in the peace that passes all understanding. (Phillipians 4:7)

  1. Jim I am so thankful for what our Lord is doing in and through you to a world of hurting and confused world. I supported PTL and loved going there with my family. I now live here in the suburb of Dallas. I saw you on Daystar for the first time in many years. May God bless you with his unlimited anointing, grace and mercy. Know that you and your family are being prayed for daily…Shalom from Dorothy

  2. Thanks for the word Jim. I recently went through a very stressful time where I lost my job due to health issues and the Lord gave me a song about this very thing. He has brought me through it and I’m doing fine now. I haven’t recorded it yet but these are the lyrics God gave me. Maybe they will minister to someone.
    It’s called “Catch Me”

    If all my world
    Comes crashing down
    And all my pearls
    Go spilling out
    If all serenity
    Is strewn about
And all that’s left of me
    Are pieces in doubt

Your love will perfect in me
    All things that concerneth me
Your love will gently catch me
    If I fall. ..

  3. Hi Jim…. You wrote: “Sometimes words meant to encourage us can have very little meaning at all. But “a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” (Proverbs 25:11)”

I love that and it caused me to think further and the revelation that came to me is: the key in it all is a “WORD FITLY SPOKEN” .. In Acts 3:6 Peter said “Silver & Gold have I none.. BUT IN THE NAME OF JESUS…..” A Word fitly spoken at the exact precise time that it is to be spoken is truly worth more than silver and gold, and what a gorgeous physical visual Proverbs 25:11 is!

I love Bobby & Carolyn Conner! I don’t know personally many of the prophets you have brought to Grace Street, however I know Bobby and when he ministered in many prophetic conferences we held at our church here in San Jose, CA. he prophesied “Fitly spoken Words”! A “Word fitly spoken the Word says?” Bobby will, as with all the prophets you have had on the show, Nail it every time… with such passionate fiery concern, love, & wisdom telling of things to come as well as the passion to share: “Beware…Be prepared”. Thank you for this venue you have brought to us all.

I pray as I have never prayed before for you & Lori; the ministry there; the prophets bringing and taking the messages of God everywhere… I KNOW God’s ripcord is right there for each of us and He will tell us when to pull it every time! His timing is perfect.

Stress is a killer as you wrote prior… but God will turn those ashes into beauty every time as well when we trust Him to do so! I am recovering from recent spine surgery and God uses us broken clay pots more than the beautifully “kept pots” that are never used! (how sad is that?) God is using you powerfully! God always uses the foolish, many times unthinkable, things to confound the wise! A crazy reality… but none the less: REALITY! God is Good! He’s Good, HE IS GOOD!

Bouquets of Peace laden blessings to you & Lori & all at Morningside!

  4. Thanks for sharing, this fits me too,I’ve been going through horrible anxiety and panic attacks for the last few years. In 06 I had a dream I was free falling, but I threw myself off a cliff willingly though.

This really helps me too, that’s how we recognize a True Prophet of God,we are helped by their Revelations.
