God’s Word produces life and creates blessings. The Bible is filled with promises about the connection between God’s Word and our quality of life…
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:20-23 KJV
Do you see the connection? When you pay attention to God’s words, getting them into your ears, eyes and into your heart, the Word becomes your very life! The Word is your health. The Word you diligently put into your heart will talk to you and keep you in line with what God has in store for you.
Proverbs 23:7 makes the next connection from the heart, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”
Whatever is in your heart in abundance will make you who you are. If you continually think on the Word of God that fills your heart and apply it to your everyday living, you can receive your vision from it. Your dreams and desires will develop out of the Word of God. The Word will become who you are and it will be apparent in your life!
What comes out of your mouth tells the tale of what is in your heart. A Word-filled heart will express it by talking.
Jesus declared; “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Matthew 12:34 KJV
When you make the connection with God’s Word, your heart can’t help but overflow with the Word. When you confess the Word over your life, you complete the connection. God’s Word coming out of your mouth in faith brings the Word that is in your heart from the unseen realm to the seen realm. As you believe and speak the Word into your circumstance, you create your personal world that lines up with the life God desires for you.
As you follow through by acting on the Word, you will establish your life on a firm foundation. That’s what Jesus said would happen: “Therefore whosoever heareth these saying of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
Spending time with the One who loves you is the simple key. Continue to keep God’s Word connected to your life through personal fellowship with the Lord and meditation on the scriptures. God’s Word, coming from His heart to yours, is the source of your blessed life.
