Muslim Man Accused Of Murdering Daughter in 2003

A Muslim man on trial for the murder of his 17-year-old daughter in 2003 has had his wife come forward to claim he’s guilty of the crime.

Farzana Ahmed, also on trial for the killing of Shafilea Ahmed, told prosecutors that her husband Ifitkar attacked their daughter and that she had tried to stop him. After her husband punched and pushed her away, she hid in a bedroom with other children until she heard a car leaving 20 minutes later. Continue reading

Islamist Militants in Africa Coordinate Efforts

The head of US Africa Command (Africom) is warning that three of Africa’s largest Islamist groups are coordinating efforts and materials.

General Carter Ham, commander of Africom, cited the North African al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) is sharing explosives and money with Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorist group slaughtering Christians in Nigeria. Continue reading

Islamist Fighters Bomb Somali Government Soldiers

Islamist fighters killed five people in Somalia an attacks on government forces.

Al Shabab has retreated from view but the Islamic group has continued it’s attacks on government forces. The group placed bombs under a tree just north of the city and lobbed a grenade into a market area in Bakara.

The Islamists control most of the country. The government and African Union troops control the capital city of Mogadishu.
