Two more victims of the knockout game were reported to police as a New York official admitted the attacks are happening primarily to Jewish residents.
Eli Leidner, a 26-year-old Hasidic Jew, was attacked at 10:40 p.m. in the Williamsburg neighborhood of New York by a woman who ran up and sucker punched him. The woman then stood laughing as Leidner lay on the floor.
Leidner told police that two people came at him but only the woman struck him in the face.
While police officials are loathe to acknowledge the knockout game officially, some New York officials are at least admitting a pattern of assaults. New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind said he could see a connection in the attacks.
“It seems clear that overwhelmingly here in New York the victims have been Jewish, there’s no question about that,’ Hikind told New York radio station WCBS. ‘You have New Yorkers who are afraid to walk the streets, afraid to let their kids walk the in streets because you don’t know who the next victim is going to be.”
Meanwhile, a 63-year-old Philadelphia man was beaten by a group of four black youths according to a witness. She said that the gang attacked the man out of nowhere, knocked him to the ground with a punch to the head and cheered while two of the youths recorded the attack on their cell phones.
The man was hospitalized with head and chest injuries.
Tragically, these inner-city young “black males” are NOT just targeting non-blacks, such as white Jews and White Anglo-Saxon Protestants (WASPS) in New York City; BUT also, they are even targeting their OWN “kind” as well; that is, they are even targeting OTHER “black males” such as myself – regardless whether or not OTHER black males are indeed “law-abiding”; minding my own “business”, NOT about trying to “hurt” or rob anyone; BUT nevertheless, with these same inner-city young black males having ALWAYS been “targeting” their own “kind” anyway, especially when it comes to homicide, via armed assault in the ghettoes throughout Urban America; particularly, within the last 30 years, beginning with the “Crack Epidemic” of 1985.
And it just so happened that; within a 3-year period (between 2009 and 2012); I myself was physically assaulted THREE TIMES [i.e., attacked 3 times in a 3-year period, would you believe it!!??], being a middle-aged meek mild-mannered Christian “black male”, being perceived, figuratively-speaking, as “fresh meat” by a pack of “wolves”, who just “couldn’t wait” to sink their “teeth” into my vulnerable “flesh” for blood and meat, in the form of “physical assault” committed by these same “inner-city” (or “ghetto-acting”) THUGS, who easily “eyed” me as an “easy target” for physical attack, since I’m middle-aged and “grey-haired”; and thus, come off, to THEM, looking like “Pop” – or some “old man” whose supposedly “too weak” to DEFEND himself.
The nation’s capitol is divided into four major sections; that being “Northeast”, “Northwest”, “Southeast”, and “Southwest”. And Southeast-DC, for decades, has ALWAYS been the most FEARED and crime-ridden part of the Federal District. But believe me, I PRAYED fervently for myself – and sought out “intercessory prayer” from other Christians; SINCE at that time period, I was living in one of the worst, most crime-ridden parts of Washington, DC; that being, located in the southeastern quadrant of the District of Columbia (or Southeast, DC). And thus, unfortunately SUBJECTED myself (unwillingly) to a greatly-increased ODD for being “attacked” by these same young black ghetto “thugs”; in CONTRAST to experiencing the LESSER “odds” – or chances – for being assaulted in the other THREE quadrants of Washington, DC.
Incidentally, I’m very saddened – and ashamed – as a “black male Christian”; that my OWN fellow black-male Christian brothers – particularly the nationally-known civil-rights ordained ministers – have not SPOKEN OUT against these same racist attacks being committed by these young black males; LET alone, with these same black ordained ministers rarely – if ever – spoken out against the unimaginable NUMBERS of “black-on-black” homicides that skyrocketed with the influx of Crack cocaine into the American ghettos in 1985.
Our Black leaders have misdirected our focus on the proper way to solve problems in our communities. Today’s Black leaders continue to mislead our people into believing that “politics” or “Government” is the answer to all of our problems. Rather, most of the problems occurring TODAY within the Black Community (whether in the ghettos or suburbs) are NOT due to “White Racism”, as it is so often claimed by our current “liberal” Black leaders. But rather, the problems are usually SELF-INFLICTED – and sinful in nature; since there are particular problems (e.g., teen-age pregnancy and drug addiction) that have much LESS to do with RACE itself, than it has to do us being “irresponsible” in violating universal Biblical principles of living – by NOT taking “individual responsibility” in adequately taking care of our personal “relationship” with God; as well as taking proper care of our own bodies, and “looking out” for the well-being of family members and neighbors.
Even Black liberals themselves can be very SELFISH, as they go about committing endless nauseating political shenanigans; as they ceaselessly, inappropriately, and unnecessarily play the shallow game of “RACE POLITICS”; with the ulterior motive of acquiring for themselves more MONEY, FAME, and GLORY; by simply bringing MEDIA ATTENTION to themselves; all the while operating under the PRETEXT that their numerous political speeches and ongoing political demonstrations are supposedly in the “interests” of Black America; but in actuality, these Black shysters are giving the public the FALSE IMPRESSION that they are operating altruistically for the “BENEFIT” of “all” African Americans. And even though we can never let racist White people “off the hook” for their ongoing discriminatory practices against people of color; that NEVERTHELESS, I must admit that certain Black celebrities are correct in saying that we “Black folks” have done much MORE DAMAGE to our own communities – MORE THAN what the “White Man” could ever do to Blacks themselves at this present time.
But let’s be honest with ourselves – as followers of Christ, and simply admit that ALL races of citizens of the United States – and all of the other NATIONS of the world; that being the “white”, the “black”, the “red”, the “brown”, and the “yellow” – have been, since Adam & Eve – and still ARE – all currently rebelling IN SOME WAY against God. And indeed, the Christian “pulpit” of BOTH black and white churches has NOT fulfilled their divinely-ordained duty as serving as the prophetic “Watchman On The Wall”, as the Old Testament chapters of Ezekiel 3 & 33 command us to. Indeed, under the New Covenant, it has always been the Lord’s will for His “Body of Christ” – and NOT secular activists – to serve as God’s “watchman on the wall” for the unbelieving world!!! That is, it has always been God’s will for the Church herself – and NOT the godless “rulers” or citizens of this wicked world, to serve as the very “vessels” by which to preach Biblical morality to a lost and dying world; and prophetically WARN the nations of the world of inevitable divine judgment – if there’s NO REPENTANCE of both the rulers AND the people themselves!!
But again, the Christian “pulpit” has been most DERELICT in its duty to preach “prophetic warning” to America, for this nation’s ongoing unrepented REBELLION against God. Therefore, tragically today, the Church herself – especially in America – IS NOT serving as God’s “watchman” for the world. Rather, today’s contemporary Church is TOO BUSY trying to be “accepted” and “loved” by the world itself!!! And that includes even today’s Black Church as well!!
