Taliban Attacks Pakistani Prison

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

The Taliban launched an attack on a prison in northwest Pakistan freeing about 300 prisoners.

The Dera Ismail Khan jail was housing hundreds of Taliban fighters and militants from banned Islamist groups. Taliban fighters yelling “God is great” and “Long live the Taliban” fired rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns during the assault.

Local residents told the Associated Press that the initial bomb attack was so loud that “it rattled every house in the neighborhood.” The Taliban has been using loudspeakers to call names of their friends throughout the town.

The head of the provincial prisons would not tell the AP if any of the 40 “high profile” prisoners were freed in the assault.
