Syrian Military Firing Missiles Into Civilian Populations

Matthew 24:10,11 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Human Rights Watch is reporting that the Syrian military has been firing missiles into civilian populated areas in an attempt to root out rebel forces.

The U.S. based HRW has investigated nine missile attacks that killed at least 215 people, half of the dead children, between February and July.

The report says that in seven of the nine attacks, there were no military targets anywhere near the sites of the missile strikes. The wide-ranging destructive impact of the missiles makes it impossible to target only rebels if they are in a civilian area.

More than 100,000 people have been killed in fighting since the uprising against President Bashar Assad began in March 2011. The government has routinely claimed it does not target civilians despite mountains of evidence showing civilians killed in government attacks.
