The power of God’s restoration powerfully shone through those at the Upper Room in Fort Mill, South Carolina as Pastor Jim Bakker spoke at the site.
Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker hosted episodes of the Jim Bakker Show from the Upper Room that many people have called the “heart” of Heritage USA. The episodes were introduced for the first time in 25 years by the voice of Henry Harrison, Pastor’s co-host of PTL for many years, who passed into glory in 1995.
Pastor Jim was joined by Rick Joyner, Cindy Jacobs and other special guests as he was overwhelmed by the emotion of the moment. They spoke of how the Upper Room was built to be a replica of the original upper room in Israel.
“There is no one who is beyond the restoration of Jesus,” Rick Joyner said during the show’s taping. He continued to speak about the power of restoration that has come to so many as the Upper Room itself was restored into service as a house of the Lord.
The Upper Room is part of a restoration of the Heritage USA property. Local believers who had been part of Heritage USA brought the building and began to rebuild. The Upper Room reopened for services in 2010 and now hosts weekly services with Rev. Randy Hill. Rev. Hill was part of the broadcast crew for PTL and now hosts a weekly show from the space.
“I always knew God had a purpose for the Upper Room,” Rev. Hill said. “It was dedicated to God and God holds it dear. There was peace in my heart. I knew God would have his way.”
Pastor Jim and Lori made sure the Master’s Media students were part of the experience of the Upper Room and spoke to them about the history of God’s powerful movements there.
On Thursday, Pastor Jim and Lori will be broadcasting from their old studios at Heritage USA.
