Matthew 24:7 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
The White House has announced that President Obama is instructing his administration to clear the way for 10,000 Syrian refugees to enter the U.S. during the next fiscal year.
The plan was met with immediate criticism from both sides of the political spectrum over security concerns. The 10,000 would mark a significant increase over the nearly 1,300 that will enter the country this fiscal year. Less than 1,500 Syrian refugees have entered the U.S. since the start of the Syrian Civil War in 2011.
“Our enemy now is Islamic terrorism, and these people are coming from a country filled with Islamic terrorists,” said Representative Peter T. King, Republican of New York. “We don’t want another Boston Marathon bombing situation.”
State Department spokesman John Kirby admitted there was a “significant national security concern” related to the President’s demand.
“I’m not arguing that we’re going to cut corners here,” Kirby said. “But the president has laid out his decision and the target he wants to achieve for the next fiscal year with respect to Syrian refugees, and we’re going to work very hard to do that.”
White House spokesman Josh Earnest tried to lay out the case that no corners would be cut.
“Refugees go through the most robust security process of anybody who’s contemplating travel to the United States,” Earnest said. “Refugees have to be screened by the National Counter Terrorism Center, by the F.B.I. Terrorist Screening Center. They go through databases that are maintained by D.H.S., the Department of Defense and the intelligence community. There is biographical and biometric information that is collected about these individuals.”
More than 4 million Syrians have fled that nation since the beginning of their civil war.
Yes – we as Christians are called to help others, but do we not owe security & safety to our own citizens first? The constant stream of untold hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, has brought in untold security issues, welfare perks that are denied to our own homeless and vets, not to mention increasing ghettos of muslims that are swiftly turning into no-go zones all over the country, and changing the very fabric of our national identity. We are stretched to the limit as it is, and we cannot continue to take in unlimited numbers of people, who are not being vetted properly in the first place.
Other muslim countries need to step up and take in their own refugees. The islamization of Europe is almost to the point of no return – do we want that for the United States?
Please watch some European news. Germany alone is taking 800 000 refugees. We, as christians are called to help. The refugee camp in Hungary has no toilets, no running water, diseases are spreading. Yes, Islam, the religiion, is a problem, but these people are humans created by God, ultimately this is not a war against of flesh and blood, so we should not let these people die in the hands of war and ISIS.
It seems to me that every president of the United States of America must swear an oath of allegiance and in that oath there are a few words stating that he will UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES and THE WELFARE AND SAFETY of the People of this land; the people that he is suppose to be serving…. get it…. HE is suppose to be serving US….. Any other president would have been arrested and tried for treason a long time ago….. As far as I am concerned, Barack Obama is the only immigrant that should never have been allowed into our country in the first place, and now should be deported and exiled.
How was he ever allowed to run for the most high office of this land in the first place? Because of the greed, envy, lust of of a few, who think they can be greater than God….. and now it is coming back to bite us all in the keester!
Yep!
So True.
