A weekend storm brought parts of northern New York to a standstill.
A ski mountain near the Vermont border received over three feet of snow that caused the shutdown of the Veteran’s Memorial Highway on Whiteface Mountain.
A spokesman for the ski lodge could not say whether or not the snowfall was a record for the mountain but it was likely one of the biggest of all time.
Mount Mansfield in Stowe, Vermont had more than 13 inches of snow, the latest that mountain has seen more than a foot of snow according to the National Weather Service.
