Libyan Coptic Christian Church Bombing Kills 2

A Coptic Christian church in Misrata, Libya was bombed over the weekend killing two and injuring two others.

Initial reports into the bombing have said that home-made dynamite was found at the bomb site.

Two of the dead were Egyptians prompting the Egyptian government to demand an investigation into the attack. Libya’s small Christian population is mostly made up of foreigners and Coptic Christians from Egypt routinely move to Libya for work.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack this is similar to other Islamic terrorist attacks in Libya including the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
