Japan Reports Major Fault Lines Under Nuclear Plants

Revelation 6:12 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

Japanese scientists have released a report saying fault lines under a nuclear plant in northern Japan are likely active.

The panel said that faults could cause earthquakes of magnitude 7. A quake of that level right beneath the plant could cause a catastrophic meltdown.

The plant is currently shut down after the massive tsunami and nuclear accident last year. Only two of the nation’s 50 nuclear plants have returned to service due to inspections and problems found at various facilities.

A previous report showed active faults under a different reactor in western Japan. Current government regulations do not allow government regulatory officials to force a shutdown of facilities should they be found inadequate in their construction or earthquake reinforcements.
