Islamist Commander Believed Killed In Mali

Revelatoin 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

Chad’s military reported the killing of Islamist leader Abdelhamid Abou Zeid in an operation in northern Mali over the weekend.

French military officials said it was “probable” that Abou Zeid was killed along with fellow leader Mokhtar Belmokhtar, but that until they had a body, they would not officially state the terrorist leaders were dead.

A spokesman for the terrorists denied the killing of Belmokhtar, the mastermind behind the recent assault on an Algerian gas factory that resulted in 37 hostages being killed. They said he was working around Gao, hundreds of miles from the location of Chadian operations.

The same spokesman posted that Abou Zeid had died.

French commanders also reported the discovery of an “industrial” area near a terrorist command base that contained 50 stores of weapons and over a dozen workshops for making improvised explosive devices. The area is now under French control.
