Islamic Terrorists Declare Islamic State

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

The Islamic extremist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has declared that the land they have taken from the Syrian and Iraqi government is now their own country ruled by Islamist law.

In an audio released for the first day of Ramadan, the group says the new nation runs from Aleppo in northwest Syria through Diyala province in northeast Iraq.  The group’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was named the “imam and khalifah for Muslims everywhere.”

The group said that all Muslim groups around the world should pledge allegiance to them.

Experts in the region say the declaration by ISIS could have a backfiring impact on their goal for an Islamic state.

“Now the insurgents in Iraq have no excuse for working with ISIS if they were hoping to share power with ISIS,” analyst Aymenn al-Tamimi, told The Associated Press. “The prospect of infighting in Iraq is increased for sure.”

Other middle east observers believe this is a tipping point in the power struggles among Islamic extremists groups worldwide, as the ISIS is now positioning itself to replace al-Qaeda.  The two groups have a contentious relationship after al-Qaeda denounced al-Baghdadi in February.

  1. @ Vikki. This is amazing insight into your post of what your the ISIS movement. Teachings from Muslin perspective is very valuable in helping myself to understand this movement that is expanding to take over territories globally. I have not fully grasped all the Eastern crisis yet until I searched this site. This challenges me to examine my own faith in the Lord and sets my mind in rightful thinking.
I am a Canadian Aboriginal First Nation and much of the evil, power and control of territory is surfacing in our country. Certain clan groups are trying to overtake territories that extend beyond their own area. they use environmental extremist groups to support their cause, both financially and physically. Similar to that of the Oka crisis in eastern Canada that broke out years ago. They portray their attire on facebook at times by wearing war-like regalia. Although none has broken into a violence; it does appear to be leading in that direction. While many of us sit back and watch their claims through the social media and in the local news, e.g. APTN. Further to this, many of the first nation bands chief leaders are very corrupt to add to the dilemma. Many leaders (not all) get large salaries and remuneration and as a result many band members do not get grass-root support. The proportion of what some leaders make in to that of members is great. Six figures to three figure income. As you see on news occasionally many (not all) of first nation in Canada live in poverty while leaders live in prosperity. As a result our elders and children suffer.
I just say thank you for your post as this gives me a start to get the bigger picture of what is may happen globally according to this teacher of Islamic studies. I will continue to follow further. Blessings to you from BC, Canada.

  2. It goes beyond a geographical territory. Ironically on the heels of this news, my hubby and I attended a program at a church last night that was presented by a man who specializes in Islamic studies. According to him, if ISIS had only claimed that land….that would be bad enough…but more contained. However, since they claimed Islamic State….an Islamic State is not about land…it is about territory…globally. The Muslims have been waiting for this cry for centuries. This just opened a rebellious prophetic door from their point of view that opens another door to civil war within these global territories. The man was very factual and not emotional. Towards the end of the talk, elders in this church started verbally attacking his views stating that just because we don’t drop to our knees to serve God out in public….most are following the teachings of the Lord and are in our prayer closets as we were instructed to do. The gentleman who was lecturing pointed out that the Muslim population cannot comprehend that…so in their eyes…we are not worshiping our Lord. I can’t even begin to go into what I learned last night because it would take too long…but suffice it to say that a lot of us already knew a lot of what he taught about. To be honest, as I listened to his lecture about this Muslim lifestyle….I found myself thinking on the cults that had popped up in our country from time to time in the past…and I now realize that the rules and regulations are very much like a cult…where people are brainwashed to believe in ungodly things and don’t have a clue about the Godly way of life. We can blame the first generation that bought into this….but not the second, third, etc that are born into it if they don’t have contact with the outside world. So, we need to pray that the scales will be removed from their eyes in time. A lot of middle east Muslims do not read…so they can’t read the Quran. Instead they are reliant on the Iman. If it is an honest Iman….most (although not all) will be well…but if they are listening to a dishonest Iman who doesn’t teach the true Muslim religion and is himself a terrorist… well we see what is happening today even with very young children…the same way that Hitler indoctrinated the youth of Germany against the wills of a lot of their parents. And….if we are not careful…this could happen in our own country. Common Core Curriculum is a way of doing this….but that is another topic. However, this is all tied together if we look at the bigger picture and if we start connecting the dots!
