Four Men Sentenced In Minnesota For Supporting Terrorists

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

Four Minnesota men have been sentenced to prison for their role in supporting the al-Shabab terrorist group in Somalia.

Abdifatah Isse, Salah Ahmed and Ahmed Mahamud were sentenced to three years in prison for providing material support to terrorists. Omer Mohamed received a 12-year sentence for conspiracy to provide material support.

The small sentences were recommended by prosecutors because of the co-operation of the four men in the investigation.

Isse and Ahmed admitted travelling to Somalia for training in December 2007. They said they left in 2008 after having second thoughts about the mission. Mahamud admitted raising money to send others to Somalia to join the terrorists in their attempt to overthrow the government.

Witnesses told investigators that Omer Mohamed had not travelled to Somalia but had recruited young men to go by using his knowledge of the Koran to manipulate them.

“These defendants, by providing material support to a designated terrorist organisation, broke both the law and the hearts of family members across the Twin Cities,” Todd Jones, U.S. Attorney for Minnesota, said in a statement.
