Death Valley Continues To Set Records

Editor’s Note: Prophet Rick Joyner warns that when you see strange and extreme weather (record breaking highs, lows, floods, droughts, tornadoes, storms), it is a prophetic sign that the Revelation Days are upon us.

High temperature records continue to fall in California’s Death Valley as a massive heat wave continues to make the western part of the U.S.

The National Park Service confirmed a high temperature of 129.9 on Sunday, a new record for the hottest day anywhere in the U.S. in June.

“It’s early for us to have these temperatures in June,” said Death Valley National Park spokeswoman Cheryl Chipman. “We hope getting to 129 this early in the season is not foreboding.”

The weather is bringing out adventurers who are trying to set world records. Jon Rice of Colorado wanted to set the Guinness Book of World Records feat for “hottest verified run” by jogging in a Darth Vader suit in the record heat. He had to run on the white center line of Highway 190 to keep his shoes from melting on the asphalt.

He said the experience was nothing more than “abject pain”.

The hottest temperature ever record on earth was 134 degrees in Death Valley on July 10th, 1913. The 100 year celebration of that feat is being scheduled pending a new record being set by the current heat wave.

  1. I have spent a lot of time in Death Valley, CA and the hottest that I have ever seen it in June was 114 degrees in the shade. I have also been in the mid winter when it turned bitterly cold in just a few hours.
