Bus Ads Quoting Terrorists Draw Ire Of Muslim Supporters

John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.

A series of advertisements placed on city buses in San Francisco is drawing complaints from those in the city’s Islamic community.

The ads, sponsored by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, carry messages from terrorists such as “Killing Jews is worship that brings us closer to Allah.”

At least 10 city buses are carrying ads from the AFDI featuring quotes from Osama Bin Laden, the Times Square car bomber and Nidal Malik Hasan, the man responsible for the Fort Hood massacre.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee told a local TV station that he supports those complaining about the ads.

San Francisco is a city that celebrates its diversity and hateful speech and discrimination against our Arab and Muslim communities will never be tolerated,” Lee said.

Lee joined Arab and Muslim community leaders in calling the ads “racist.” However, AFDI’s executive director said the actions of Lee and others shows a more disturbing situation.

“City officials denounce our ads, but not the actual quotes from high-profile jihadists calling for holy war and genocide,” Pamela Geller said. “Our new campaign focuses on how jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism.
