Brazilian Doctors Endorse Abortion Upon Request

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

The Brazilian Senate is debating changes to the nation’s abortion laws and doctors are calling for them to allow abortion on demand.

The Federal Council of Medicine says all abortions under 12 weeks should be allowed on demand. After 12 weeks, they should be allowed in cases of fetal anomalies and when the pregnancies are the result of unwanted in-vitro fertilization.

Currently abortion is only allowed in cases of rape, abnormal brain development or if the mother’s life is at risk.

The doctor’s council says that nearly 250,000 women each year seek treatment in hospitals after attempting illegal abortions.

The Roman Catholic Church is vehemently opposed to the expansion of genocide via abortion in Brazil.

The doctors’ council endorsement only strengthens a “mentality that favours violence and death”, Bishop Joao Carlos Petrini told a local newspaper.
