Nigeria’s Boko Haram Islamic terrorist group is apparently planning more attacks on schools after their leader called for his members to rise up against “western education.”
Abubakar Shekau said “Western-style” education is a “plot against Islam.”
“Teachers who teach Western education? We will kill them. We will kill them in front of their students, and tell the students to henceforth study the Koran,” he said. “We are going to burn down the schools if they are not Islamic religious schools for Allah.”
Boko Haram killed 46 students in an attack on a dormitory recently despite claiming they don’t kill children. One of the victims of the attack who survived said he lost four fingers on his hand as he fought with one terrorist and the attacker’s gun fired.
“Our religion does not permit us to touch small children and women. We don’t kill children,” Shekau insisted despite the contrary evidence.
The terrorists have also been found to fill dates with horse tranquilizers and then after students pass out are kidnapped to be used as fighters for the group.
