Army Email Lists Christian Ministries as “Domestic Hate Groups”

Luke 21:12 “But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.

Lt. Col. Jack Rich sent an e-mail to three dozen subordinates at Fort Campbell, Kentucky calling some Christian ministries “hate groups” that “do not share our Army Values.”

The American Family Association and Family Research Council were listed as groups that are against the values of the Army along with neo-Nazis, Racist skinhead groups, white nationalists and the KKK.

“When we see behaviors that are inconsistent with Army Values – don’t just walk by – do the right thing and address the concern before it becomes a problem,” Lt. Col. Rich wrote in his email.

The news comes on the heels of a Fox News report that an Army training instructor telling a reserve unit that Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism were examples of religious extremism. The Army had called that an “isolated incident”. There has been no response to the latest discovery of anti-Christianism in an Army missive.

“If this is the action of a single Army lieutenant colonel, it needs to be investigated,” Lt. Gen (ret.) Jerry Boykin said. “On the other hand, if what he reflects is a shifting policy or attitude of the Army or DOD, then I think it is a much bigger issue.”
