6.5 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes New Zealand

Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

A 6.5 magnitude earthquake has shaken New Zealand causing slight damage to buildings in the capital city of Wellington.

The quake was only about 6 miles deep and was followed by several strong aftershocks.

“We weren’t sure what to do. We sort of ran out in the end. It kept going and going. I’m not sure whether that building’s safe or not,” a man told Euronews.

New Zealand’s Minister for Economic Development said the parliament building “wobbled like jelly” but that the building did not suffer damage.

The quake comes in the same area of a 6.5 magnitude quake on July 21. The quake was close to 25 miles east of the most recent quake. Unlike the latest quake, the July 21 quake was offshore.
