Thomas M. Kostigen is a New York Times bestselling author and journalist who appears regularly on television, including the Today Show, Mornings with Al, The Weather Channel, CNN’s Erin Burnett, MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Entertainment Tonight, the 700 Club, Fox News, Hallmark’s Home & Family, KTLA, CNBC, among many other outlets.

He founded USA Today’s Climate Survivalist column and received the prestigious Louis J. Battan author of the year award for his National Geographic book on extreme climate preparedness. He is a global ambassador for Live Prepared, for which he produces and hosts an educational video series, and has reported from war zones to the world’s wonders across five continents.
