It’s amazing how the Kingdom of God works. Little seeds sown throughout your life have the ability to produce so much fruit – fruit in the form of souls won to the Lord! While the devil will tell you that the things you do for God don’t amount to much, or that what you’ve done has all been ‘undone’ by circumstances and events, remember that he is a liar and that’s what he does best!
There is no greater thing that you can do than to sow seeds into the fields where God has placed you because some of those seeds will land on fertile soil and can produce a harvest greater than you could ever imagine or hope for. It has been that way with me and all the ministry throughout my life, and especially at Heritage USA. Some of the seeds sown back then have produced such surprising results that I am amazed today!
While the devil and his minions tried to tell me that it was all lost back in the ‘80’s and it was all for nothing, today I keep hearing from people like Karen Wheaton who got her start in ministry at Heritage USA in 1978 – and today leads a ministry called “The Ramp” that has seen untold thousands of young people saved and brought into God’s Kingdom.
Karen was on our show recently and she told the story of how she had applied to the “Heritage School of Evangelism” in 1978. She reminded me that we were only accepting 300 students that year, and when she received her acceptance letter she was student #299! She said that one “yes” changed her life and set her on a path of ministry that changed many other lives.
You see, Heritage didn’t really close, it just went on a sabbatical! Don’t let the devil tell you that what you did for God was all for nothing! Every single prayer you prayed is recorded in heaven, and every single thing you made happen for others, God will make happen for you. If you goal is to reach people for Jesus, you will have your reward in heaven! Read Revelation 22!
I will admit that I need encouragement every now and then, because the devil still tries to tell me that nothing I did was worth anything. Then God sends a Karen, and reminds me that the devil is a liar.
I feel like Karen is my child and BeBe and CeCe Winans said they feel like I’m their Dad. I believe God delights in picking the unthinkable things to confound the wise in the last days! You just can’t deny the ministry that’s going forth today – because of Heritage USA .
And today I know that there are some of these kids coming out of the Master’s Commission here at Morningside that will turn the world upside down for Jesus! I had a heart for the youth back at Heritage, and that hasn’t changed. God showed me that the future rests with kids who can reach their own generation with a fresh message that sometimes we old folks have allowed to get stale. Kids are searching, and I want them to find the truth – the Jesus of the Bible!
All kids need to feel is the presence of God and they will come. The answer is still the same for all the generations; God is not just a religious God but a real God and when they worship Him, He will come. Every generation is searching for who God is, and who they are, and when they realize that God is real and He loves them individually, they become believers!
This is the responsibility of spiritual fathers and mothers… someone is waiting behind your “yes.” On the other hand, your “no” can have terrible consequences.
We said “yes” to Karen back in 1978 and hundreds of thousands of kids have experienced the presence of God because of it.
Let’s make sure that we don’t let the final generation down. Let’s say “yes” to the potential of our kids today. They may look tattered and torn, and they are, but God sees them as bright shining lights for Him… and so do I.

When you and Tammy first started on television in Santa Ana, Ca. Tammy and her puppets inspired my husband to become a ventriloquist, Gospel magician and story teller and we held many Kids Crusades over a period of several years here in southern Calif. He was even allowed to minister in a Mormom Church and Catholic Churches. He taught hundreds of children about The Bible and salvation with flourescent pictures painted on 3 X 5 foot pieces of cloth that glowed under black lights with sound tracks in the background that He created. We had as many parents there as we did kids. He also had a daily 15 minute radio program here in our local area for the children. I am sure there are many many others who were touched and inspired by your ministry that you will probably never know about. Before He passed away in 1991 at the age of 54, He passed on all of his collection of pictures, music, puppets, etc. on to a young woman who had a heart for working with children. I just wanted to let you know we were touched and set on a path of ministry by seeing you on TBN. 40 years ago. i was so thrilled when I saw that God had restored you to the ministry you have now. I am 70 years old now but have the hope that before I die, I will get to come visit Morningside. God continue to bless you and Lori and all that you do is my prayer.
Oh Jim…back in the 80s I was a big contributor planning on retiring there. Well I’ve been retired 10 years now and have recently left Branson believing the Lord wants me here in Charlotte NC..only 30 minutes I’m told from Heritage. I’m also told the products offered at Morningside are not available at Heritage…bummer! While at Morningside one day, I called Kevin over because I still after all these years had my lifetime partner pin and told Kevin, though it still was a treasure to me, I would donate to you Jim not knowing if they took everything from you. Well, Tammy Sue called me up to the mike while practicing with Kevin and after a response about my treasure in Heaven I turned leaving this pearl of great price with your daughter. I don’t even know if you’ll ever read this….I also told her I had a song the Lord gave me and would she be open to hearing it. She said “yes”. So I never thought this day would come yet now I miss all of you so much. Even back in Jersey Rabbi Cahn was my pastor as I attended his church. My God is this what Abraham felt like? Lori, I thank God for Daystar tv and especially their Reflections programs. They’ve gotten me through many nights when the “locals” were too active and sleep was impossible. The Daystar App has different Reflections, just as meaningful & soothing, as the ones on tv.
I don’t get to church as often as I’d like for a number of reasons, and although my pastors (whom I love dearly) will bring me communion, groceries or whatever, I still appreciate Morningstar tv and Daystar also.
Tell Jim that his 9-grain cereal stopped some bowel problems, & I am grateful!

Hello Pastor Jim, many of us have been sowing seed for a long time. We have been planting seed in the soil that we have come across. I have seen seed that has planted for many ,many years come to a place that they finally say,yes so I have been told. I’m sure many of us have planted seed and have never seen any of the end results. I think that is part of being a sower in life. We may never see the fruit come . That is when we feel that we have never did what was ask of us, in the Great Commission . We know that our lives are representation of who we say we are and that it better line-up, when you say you are a follower of Christ. Also your words better speak of what you are and what God has done for you. Those things are known and as we mature in Christ, these things are understood and our lives have been following the word that we no longer are drinking milk ,but eating a meal that meets the needs of a mature Christian. But in those times when we feel defeated the enemy comes with, you say your this and that and where is your souls that you have won or what have you done for the cause of Christ. Sometimes it takes time to be on the side of that war of your mind. When you are not the harvester ,its difficult sometimes to see your Love and Caring and Sharing bring results. I hope all of us that are sowers will be able to see the fruits of a love,caring and sharing of the Word and of a our testimony. I know in Heaven we will see it .Maybe God knows that us as sowers would be prideful if we would know who we have touched in some way. I must say God knows best ,so I better always do as he says too, that this life that belongs to HIM will be what He wants. Thank You Floyd
